There once lived a boy named Chase. Chase loved to play at the park. He got to go there once a day, only after his mom saw that he had finished his homework and dinner.
Chase had to pay very close attention to what he ate everyday. He was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at age 6.

When Chase eats his meals, he has to keep track of his carbohydrate. Keeping track will let him know how much insulin he will have to take later.
As long as Chase makes his yearly trips to the doctor, and follows instructions on how to take his insulin, Chase will live a happy normal life.
