The Amber Rose SlutWalk is an all-inclusive not- for-profit event that is playing a monumental role in the movement towards gender equality. It all began back in 2011 in Toronto when a police officer told a crowd of college women that if they wanted to avoid sexual assault, they shouldn’t dress like sluts. The SlutWalk has now become a global movement with grassroots success in over 200 countries in taking a stand against sexual injustice, victim blaming, and derogatory labeling. The Amber Rose SlutWalk experience is unlike that of any other SlutWalk or feminist event in the world. The event provides installations, artists and speakers to entertain, educate, and empower the SlutWalk audience while creating unforgettable memories. In order to create a lively day festival experience and unique opportunity to highlight your corporate initiatives, dozens of vendors and on site services have been organized for this year’s event. Rape can affect anyone – no matter their race, ethnicity, sex, gender, social class, or sexual orientation. Rape is NEVER the survivor’s fault. The only person to blame for rape is the rapist! •
One in four college women has survived rape or attempted rape in their lifetime.

Even though this is a SlutWalk, don’t let the work “walk” mislead you, the Amber Rose SlutWalk is more of an awareness day festival filled with all types of cool activities, contests and giveaways, vendors, speakers, panelist, performances, live DJ, sign-making, educational booths, photo booths, free breast cancer exams, HIV testing and much more. Thousands of people across gender, sex, race, age, class, education, profession, will gather for an unforgettable experience. Pershing Square will be transformed into a world platform for a mission that needs a large stage. There is no recipe on what someone involved in the Amber Rose SlutWalk needs to look like, you DO NOT need to come from an activist background or know anything about these issues. The only requirement is to be inspired by your own passion to do something about the issues that plague our generation.
