Experience simulated disabilities to develop modifications and accommodations to break the barriers to learning.

The Magic of Inclusion

This workshop explores the importance of social inclusion of children with disabilities with their non-disabled peers. Magic tricks can be used to create positive social experiences between children with and without disabilities. Performing magic tricks provides opportunities to practice appropriate social behaviors. Learning magic tricks helps develop and maintain reciprocal relationships that creates a sense of belonging. Teaching appropriate social behaviors and activities that foster friendships are key components of this workshop.
