Activities: Hiking – Backpacking – Running Difficult: Moderate to difficult (the difficulty is in the length). Relatively flat with the exception of a few hills. Full day, Family Friendly Equipment: Water , Running or Hiking shoes. Trailhead: There are two trail head entrances (and two trail ends) within the same area. The White Loop, Purple Loop, and Brown Loops all enter the trailhead seen at the right. The Blue, Green, Orange and Red trails all start at the trailhead that starts to the left. (You will see what I mean when you get there.) Trailhead GPS Coordinates to the Parking Area: 42.820926, -88.601485 Equipment: Hiking or running shoes. Plenty of water, especially on the blue loop or if you plan to be out on the trails for awhile. There is a drinking fountain at the trail head so it's also a consideration to do shorter loops, ensuring that you have a water source every few miles (as you arrive back to the trail head). The trails are well marked though as with any trail of multiple loops it will help to load my GPX track into your GPS. Seasons: Best all seasons. Winter : only cross country skiing is permitted if there is snow Parking Sticker (WI state parks) or Day Pass Required!

Overview: Mostly wooded trail system, which makes for cooler running or hiking in the summer months. However, come prepared for mosquitos in the summer time. Great Cross Country skiing in the winter. These trails are for running and hiking (no mountain bikes) when there is no snow. When the snow arrives come to the trails with skis or you will not be permitted to use the trails .. on the other side of highway H you will find excellent mountain biking trails (not posted in this guide). The Kettle Moraine Nordic trails are scenic and hilly, and very enjoyable whether running or hiking. The trail consists of single track as well as wider trails that are groomed for cross country skiing (winter). Soft underfoot in many places, its one of my favorite places to run. The Kettle Moraine trails are a fabulous family spot. Bring the kids or friends to share the hike and then picnic afterwards. There are many picnic tables at the trailhead and a very nice new building if you wish to have shelter (or warmth in the winter after skiing). This is the site of the famous Kettle Moraine 100 miler and Ice Age 50 miler! Awesome and well maintained trail system with something for everyone! A place that all will enjoy, even your dog! Length: All Loops Grand Total: 22.10 miles Seven Trails Total: From longest to shortest (via my GPS and GPX tracks) listed below:

• Blue Loop: 8.76 miles • Green Loop: 3.5 miles • White Loop: 3.13 miles • Orange Loop: 2.48 miles • Red Loop: 1.95 miles • Purple Loop: 1.62 miles • Brown Loop: .66 miles Points of Interest
