Internship Opportunities CCDM is dedicated to delivering humanitarian aid and quality Peer Education to the community of Ouaouizert, Morocco.

The CCDM Internship Program Includes:
Travel to and from the airport in Marrakech
Room and Board at the CCDM facility staff apartments in Ouaouizert
Meals including breakfast, lunch & dinner (except for excursions and travel)
Day trips include visits to lake Ben el Ouidane, the natural springs at Ait Asserdoun, the historic Kasbah el Rein, or the scenic waterfalls of Cascade de Ozoud
Volunteer opportunities that range from tutoring local children, to setting up classrooms and programs, and working with local officials

Interns must show proficiency in French or Arabic (two semesters of undergraduate course work). They must also work diplomatically in teams, and show sensitivity to cultural differences. Those applicants who wish to further develop their language skills can opt to receive language training sessions from CCDM during the internship. Applicants must pay the internship fee and auxillary travel costs prior to departure, as well as provide their own travel insurance. CCDM will supply a packing list of the things you will need during your stay. Learning Objectives: Interns will learn about developing country issues in a safe and protected environment. They will learn how an international nonprofit operates, and how cultural issues affect rural education in Morocco.
Terms Available: Fall Term Spring Term Alternative Spring Break Summer Terms Internships are available on a flexible basis throughout the year except during the major holidays (Christmas in the U.S., Ramadan in Morocco). Positions will be filled on a competitive basis as the organization can only host two interns per term. Internship contracts will not exceed a time period of 2 months.
