My vision for shaping this space: a thoughtfully curated, unique collection. Showing the connective harmony of eclectic, yet refined silhouettes chosen to appeal to many selective tastes. Vintage inspired rugs, and luxe textiles, adding richness and longevity to each pod of presented items. A place people will love to meander through and find the uniqueness of one item for themselves- Or the one item for someone else who has everything… truly an anthropologic experience. Merchandise Mix: Beautiful, unique items paired in ‘stories’ throughout the space and all merchandise will be flexible/interchanging as accessories and textiles will be ever evolving. The selections will be shown to catch the eye immediately, and allow visual travel through each merchandised space From one unique piece, to the next. Casework: The vision includes built in casework, (I call silent salespeople), built into the space that will allow housing units of small product (profit makers) to be in those spaces. This casework also provides a residential feeling and warmth to the space- while wearing the accessories. The casework would ideally be on two of the four walls to allow capacity, and to showcase beautiful items. This will allow the items to appear “special” because they are in a special space paired with other beautiful pieces, but yet tangible for purchasing and touching. This casework will also be flexible and will ideally allow removable shelving to allow fluctuation of inventories during lighter sales months, and use of the shelving in expansion for deeper sales months IE; fourth quarter. Items: The items in these cases might be the following- Cashmere, hanging on beautifully branded wood hangers along candles, accessories, and artwork where applicable. Flexible: Also, the cashmere, and throws would at times be folded neatly on a fine table to create a new look of a specialty fashion retailer.
