Lac des Iles Mines (LDI) is the Company’s flagship mine and is one of only two primary palladium producers in the world. The mine is located approximately 85 km northwest of the city of Thunder Bay, Ontario and consists of an underground mine, and a large 15,000 tonne per day Mill with significant excess capacity available for future production growth. LDI is currently undergoing a major expansion to transition from mining via ramp to mining at a higher throughput via shaft. Through the utilization of the shaft and higher mining rates, LDI is expected to benefit from increased production at reduced cash costs per ounce, transforming the mine into a long life, low cost producer of palladium.

Community Liaison Officer

Working a four (4) day on three (3) day off rotation at the mine site, and reporting to the Director Human Resources, Health, Safety & Environment, the successful candidate will be responsible for the provision of senior level Aboriginal and Community Affairs functions in the areas of liaison, relationship development, community supports, and stakeholder relations. Primary accountabilities include identifying and liaising with key Aboriginal leaders, continuously improving relations with all aboriginal and community stakeholders, development of outreach strategies to facilitate aboriginal community interaction and community knowledge/acceptance of company actions, managing strategic aboriginal relationships, as well as seeking ‘win-win’ solutions in aboriginal dealings. The incumbent will be required to provide reliable information on relevant activities of the company to appropriate aboriginal organizations, communities, government agencies and other stakeholders as required. The incumbent will also facilitate feedback and input from community representatives to the company.

The successful candidate must possess a University degree in Aboriginal Studies, Political Science or graduation from a post secondary institution with a concentration in human resources, social sciences, or equivalent experience; three to five years experience in an aboriginal and/or community liaison field; and knowledge of aboriginal/non-aboriginal communities and their local issues is required.

CATERING EVENT The scheduled date for this event will be April 18, 2015 with light refreshments being served for 3:30 p.m. (soup, bannock, cheese tray, veggie platter, fruit platter, dessert option). interested individuals are asked to submit two light refreshment options with an expected attendance of approximately 200 people.

*IMPORTANT NOTIFICATION: Contract shall include cleaning of kitchen facility as per inspection or a fee for service will be deducted from the contract amount.

 Doctor’s name, clinic name,  Time and date of appointment.

All appointments booked for the medical van must be called into the Office 24 hours in advance No Exceptions.

When being transported to appointments on the medical van please note that you will be dropped off at appointment and picked up at the same address.

Notice: The Medical Van is equipped with one infant and one toddler restraint as per policy. To ensure the safety of your children, please be prepared to supply your own restraints when booking the medical van.

AFTERHOUR’S TAXI SLIPS Taxi slips will only be issued to Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre with return trip.

St. Anne's Easter Sunday - Apr. 5, 2015 1st Reading: Acts 10:34, 37-43. This is part of an early sermon of St. Peter. He tells us how he was a witness to the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. The risen Jesus is the Savour of all those who believe in him, as well as the Judge of the living and the dead.

2nd Reading: Colossians 3:1-4. Through our Baptism we already share in the risen life of Christ, though in a hidden and mysterious way.

Gospel: John 20:1-9. Early on Sunday morning some of the disciples discover that the tomb in which Jesus was buried is empty. Then the truth of what the Scriptures had foretold begins to dawn on them, namely, that Jesus would rise from the dead.
