The Arts: Dance Beginner Contemporary
Baby Ballerinas
Contemporary is a postmodern form of dance that rebels against the rigid rules of Classical Ballet and Modern. By nature, it’s movements and shapes are pedestrian in nature, allowing everyone access to the art form. It also can incorporate forms of ballet, modern and jazz. Contemporary is often used to convey a feeling or message, but in a highly individual way. For new dancers, this offers an opportunity to not feel like their ability and dance needs to match anyone else’s. This intro level class is all about you being you, and dancing with joy in your heart. Min. 6; Max. 9
This is a wonderful opportunity for children to explore creative movement and the foundations of musicality. With an emphasis on motor planning and foundational ballet technique, children will be engaged with fun activities that will prepare them for more advanced classes. Parents may join at instructor requests. Min. 6; Max. 8

With everyone's health and safety in mind, all programs implement safety protocols to stay in compliance. Call 693-8369 for details.
Teams of 5 will be created by the sign-up sheet. Games are to 12 by 1’s and 2’s or highest score with a 12-min time limit (subject to change). Players will call their own fouls and ref their own games. No shooting free throws, as fouls will be taken out at half court. No shot clock.

Hours & Schedule
ROTATION OF TEAMS
Current open hours are listed on the Class & Facility Schedule available online at www.kroccenterhawaii.org. *HOURS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE Planned Gymnasium Closures: December 11–18, Kroc Event
To allow everyone the opportunity to compete, the winning team will stay on the court for a maximum of two (2) consecutive games. On their second win, winners must go back on the wait list along with losing team. Two new teams will then enter the court.

To allow our teams to compete in an organized fashion, signups for pickup will start at 6:30pm at the kiosk with the Gym Attendant. Members and Day pass users must sign up themselves and must be present and in line to be on the list. Members and Day pass users may not hold spots for others. Gym attendants will be sure signups follow the list in succession— no skipping spots or teams. The next team on the list will be on the side of the court keeping score.
Basketball & Volleyball pickup games are held on specific days for each sport. Visit our website (www.kroccenterhawaii.org) to view the current month's Facility Schedule.
