Class and Program Cancellations Full payment is expected at the time of enrollment. No cash refunds are given unless the program is cancelled by Kroc Center Hawaii. If the program is cancelled by Kroc Center Hawaii, you will be given the choice of a full credit or a cash refund. If you request to cancel your class enrollment five or more days prior to the first class, you will receive a full credit on a Kroc Center gift card minus a $5 processing fee or you may choose to transfer to another session if available. Requests made less than five days prior to the start date are not eligible for a refund or credit, except in the case of personal emergencies. No credits or pro-rated credits will be issued for missed days of camp or class due to illness, partial attendance, behavior issues, or any other reason.
Programs at Kroc Center Hawaii are open to everyone. Enrolling for program classes does not require Kroc Center Membership. HOW To Enroll 1. Fill out Program Enrollment form, located at the Member Services Desk or download online at www.KrocCenterHawaii.org. 2. Turn in Program Enrollment form along with payment to the Member Services Desk. If class is full, you will be added to a wait list. Payment will be processed only if space becomes available. Aquatics & Swim Lessons
Aquatic Center Rules The rules in this section apply to all areas of the Aquatic Center. Lifeguards are responsible for enforcing guidelines and any additional rules which in their judgment will help to maintain a safe environment. Failure to adhere to these and any other rules and policies may result in disciplinary action. • Please shower before entering pool. Persons who leave the pool to use the restroom must shower before re-entering. • Infants and toddlers are required to wear swim diapers. Children who are not toilet trained are required to wear approved swim diapers and plastic pants. • Any person having an infectious or communicable disease shall be excluded from using the pool. Patrons with open blisters, cuts, etc. are warned that these are likely to become infected and are advised not to use the pool. • The pool will immediately close in the event of an accidental pool contamination and will not re-open until proper water quality standard is restored. • No spitting, spouting water, blowing the nose, etc. in the pool.
Group Aquatic Pool Rules exercise classes Aquatic Group Exercise classes are fun and easy on joints and muscles. Unless otherwise noted, the minimum age for aquatic group exercise classes is 13-15 years with an adult, and 16+ without an adult. Group Exercise classes are free for members. Individual class passes are available for non-members and are available for purchase at the Member Services Desk. Aqua Cardio An upbeat and fun class to improve your cardio, flexibility, and range of motion.
Aqua Fit A class for everyone, especially for those with joint ailments or injuries. Get fit with this challenging water workout. After a gentle warm-up in the calm water, you will ease into the exercises using your own body weight and water resistance dumbbells. Easy on the joints, this class is excellent for cardiovascular conditioning, flexibility and strength.
Aqua Jog This is a high intensity cross training water based fitness program that provides the benefits of little to no impact on joints, expands lung capacity as well as provides the benefits of weight and resistance training of a traditional gym.
AQUA ZUMBA Splashing, stretching, twisting, even shouting and laughing, are often heard during an Aqua Zumba class. Aqua Zumba blends it all together into a safe, challenging, water-based workout that’s cardio-conditioning, body-toning, and most of all, exhilarating beyond belief.

There are four levels in the Learn to Swim Program. Each level includes the teaching and assessment of swimming and water safety skills. Students are moved through the progressive levels as they accomplish the skills required at each level. Please note that a student may remain at the same level for multiple sessions until they master the skills necessary to advance to the next level. The lessons are taught in small group classes by Certified American Red Cross Instructors and Aides. Kroc Instructors make swimming lessons fun and help students develop both swimming skills and self confidence. Swim lessons are 25-minutes in length. Armed with 15 years of personal training and a Masters degree in Kinesiology, Ryan also spent 12 years at UC Santa Cruz as the Executive Director for the office of Physical Education, Recreation, Sports and Wellness.
Christian brings unique certifications to the team that includes Personal Training from National College of Exercise Professionals, Mixed Martial Arts Strength and Conditioning Trainer, and U.S.Military Level 4 Combatives.
Carla Myers
Maemilia “Mei” Gendreau
Carla has been in the fitness industry since 1980 and incorporates all types of equipment and plyometrics, TRX, medicine and stability balls, and free weights to your routine. She’ll mix it up to prevent you from getting overuse injuries. Carla also leads group exercise classes at the Kroc Center.
Mei found her passion in the health and fitness industry while serving in the Army. Certifications she currently holds include Military Fitness Specialist, Cycling and Group X instructor certifications from AFAA. She is also certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) as a Personal Trainer, Nutrition Specialist, and Weight Management.
Glynis Ramirez Glynis comes to the Kroc Center with a BS in Community Health and is a ACE & NCEP Certified Trainer with 20 year of experience in the Health & Fitness Industry. With numerous bodybuilding & weight lighting accolades under her belt, Glynis’ specialties include strength training, group exercise, nutrition education & weight management.
Wayne Hudson Wayne has over 10 years of experience—working with clients ranging from beginner to professional athlete. Not just focused on your fitness goals, Wayne will show you how fitness can lead to a greater quality of life.

About RObert Figaroa Robert is experienced in the dynamic & functional training method which includes dynamic movements using the three modalities of gymnastics, weightlifting, and metabolic conditioning, and has coached many athletes in the Pose Running Technique. Robert has attended the Level 1 CrossFit Trainer’s course and holds certificates in CrossFit Kettlebells, CrossFit Endurance, and the Whole 9 Nutritional Seminar. He has also completed the Self-Myofascial Release Seminar for Professionals and several Kettlebell Sport seminars, and continues to educate himself in the health and fitness trainers’ profession with enrollments in the future CrossFit seminars like Powerlifting, Mobility, and Olympic lifting. Robert enjoys helping others improve their health and maintain quality of life by using compound dynamic movements and improve their range of motion with various mobility exercises. Enrollment is on a first come basis, based on the date your application and deposit are received. You will be notified as openings become available. Prepare for school. These will include various release forms and Student’s Health Record, form 14 (to be completed by your child’s pediatrician).
