Visual Arts • ART INSTRUCTORS • David Tirado

David Tirado received his M.F.A. from the Academy of Art University in 2009 and his B.A. from San Francisco State University in Fine Art in 1996. He has traveled and lived abroad to study painting in Guanajuato Mexico at the Bellas Artes in San Miguel de Allende and considers his experiences traveling as influential to his artistic development. David’s paintings are influenced by natural phenomenons that challenge our existence and connection within ourselves and with others, with a goal to create a presence in his work by using line, texture and color that help encourage a bold and engaging aesthetic. His painting process deals with being true to the moment while painting. David considers his materials and environment to help spark inspiration, which ultimately influences his emotional experience. This experience enhances his visual aesthetic and challenges him to stay in the present and connected with his creative self. Sharing his love for the creative process through teaching has always been his passion. David has tutored and taught painting to youths, adults and at the university level for the past ten years.

TO ENSURE THE SAFETY AND HEALTH OF OUR PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS AND STAFF, MOST CREATIVE ARTS CLASSES WILL BE HYBRID.
