Express yourself in this beginning level class! Break away from the classical techniques and move your body unconventionally. By nature, it's movements and shapes are pedestrian in nature, allowing everyone access to the art form. It also can incorporate forms of ballet, modern and jazz. Modern is often used to convey a feeling or message, but in a highly individual way. For new dancers, this offers an opportunity to not feel like their ability and dance needs to match anyone else's. This intro level class is all about you being you, and dancing with joy in your heart. Min. 6; Max. 9
Students will learn the basics of ballet at an accelerated pace. This offers a syllabus-based instruction that will allow dancers to continue with the recreational track or switch to the pre-professional program. Dancers will learn ballet stories; French and kinesiological terminology; applications of physics in ballet; and safe dance practices with emphasis on precision, discipline, and control. Mon/Thurs Min. 6; Max. 9 | Sat Min. 6; Max. 8

Deliver items to our Fill-A-Need bins! Collection bins will be located in the Member Services lobby.
I have found many new friends here. I was a member of another club, but I felt like I wasn't making any friendships there. Congeniality is important to me, so when I started coming to the Kroc to work out, the fitness center opened the door for me! From worship services, joining the Salvation Army church and volunteering, I have found many new friends here. Kroc Center has become an integral part of my life since living in Kapolei.
