Clean Cut Copenhagen Was established in the fall of 2014 by Urban Brands, a menswear company with years of experience in its field. Clean Cut Copenhagen is based on the vision of a menswear brand, that is able to offer a single go-to solution for all the modern men’s essentials. The brand is focused around t-shirts, knits, sweats, pants, shirts and jackets, but with an eye for the detail. The clothes have defined lines, classic silhouettes and muted colours. We are well established in Denmark and export to Norway, Sweden, United Kingdom, The Netherlands and Germany. We mainly produce our clothing in Turkey, China and Bangladesh. For the SS/19 collection we visited The Netherlands to find some men that can appreciate the things that we do, but also have a passion and a focus in life that makes life worth living, that’s what we call “A Clean way of thinking‘’ 4

COLLECTION SS’19 Our SS19 collection is inspired by the classic and hip areas in Copenhagen. When the weather is warm outside, comfort is key. Therefore we chose for comfortable shorts with stretch. It’s the perfect fallback style for picnics, barbecues and balmy nights out in town. Our shorts are ideal because they can be dressed up or down. For this season our focus is on design and on high quality with nice details. Designed with simple classic cuts and an underplayed Copenhagen attitude. The style is a mix of trend based and classic Scandinavian look. Of course we have the classic colors, but this season we add some more powerful colors as orange, yellow and green. 22

There is a strong case to be made for the Milano pants. It’s softer, with stretch and has this urban feeling. Men can wear them without having caught up in denim. The Milano pant is comfortable, more neutral but still sophisticated. Each pair is engineered to go where you go, durable enough to do what you do, and comfortable enough to wear every single day – a true day-to-night pant.

Meet Ricardo Paterno. 30 years old. Back in the days he was a semiprofessional skater. Nowadays he is an entrepreneur and owns a film production company: Pastrami Fimcompany. Unfortunately he doesn’t skate often anymore, but hey… running a business is top sport too! What is your biggest challenge in entrepreneurship? Definitely time management! For example, since I run my own business, I don’t skate often anymore. And next to Pastrami, I have my own Skate Magazine: NOISE. The foundation of NOISE is a true, deep passion for skateboarding and the desire to aim the spotlight on the skateboarding scene. But yeah.. the bright side of entrepreneurship is that you make your own decisions and that you’re independent. Skateboarding & fashion, do they go hand in hand? Oh yes! Skateboarding is fashion. The way you look and the tricks that you’re doing can make or break you. The scene is full of connoisseurs. They’re very precise in what they like and what they dislike. This regards fashion, but also their taste in music. Also, the scene comes with a lot of own codes and rules. However, I’m a very easy. You’ll find me most of the days in a jeans with a black t-shirt. I like it basic. Also, I’m a skater so it’s very easy for me to wear that laidback casual style haha! 44

Stretch is the key element in this collection. We’ve noticed that men love comfort. Therefore we focused this season on extra flexibility and a perfect fit. CLEAN CUT CO P ENHAGEN 46

Did you notice a shift in the skateboarding scene when it comes to fashion? Yes! When I started skating, it was all about baggy clothing. The bigger the better. Very ‘90s. Later on, the style moved to more fitted clothing. I wore flannel pants and shirts. A few years after that we wore very tight pants (that was quite a challenge while skateboarding!) and clean shirts. Nowadays I think we’re back to the ’80s again. What do you think of our Milano stretch pants? I love the stretch and it looks fresh & clean. It feels very comfortable when i’m skateboarding. What is your dream for the future? I would love to build up my company. With bigger departments and more room for talent development. Also, I play guitar and I would love to make more music.
