y the DISY, DIKO and Solidarity Parties votes the state budget was approved for 2018. Unfortunately, the annual budget follows the philosophy of the Anastasiades – DISY government which they followed the past five years. It is a budget with limited development expenses and reduced social benefits. It is a budget without vision. It does not give young people prospect, it does not create opportunities. It is a budget that aims only at the prosperity of numbers and not of the people, especially the young people. A state budget must have vision, must free up resources that can be channeled into growth and welfare, to create quality jobs, reduce unemployment and support socially vulnerable groups. It was to be expected that once again Nicolas Papadopoulos will meet with the unpopular policies of Anastasiades - DISY and will vote with the state budget for 2018. They are, Nicolas Papadopoulos and Averof Neophytoy, who together supported the “best bankers” and wanted the workers to give more of their rights. They are the same who together voted for the crucial bills on insolvency, house disposals, privatizations and more. Overall, all reforms of the previous government, education, local government and health have been canceled by them.

What Cyprus needs today is a true change from this government and not a variant of it. Nicolas Papadopoulos candidacy is none other than Nikos Anastasiades’ variation.

What Cyprus needs today is a true change from this government and not a variant of it. Nicolas Papadopoulos candidacy is none other than Nikos Anastasiades’ variation. The next president of the Republic of Cyprus cannot have no vision. And Stavros Malas does have a vision and clear positions for a progressive and modern government. Vision and positions that do not serve the few, but the many. Stavros Malas presents to society a Contract of Hope and Prospect, for the Economy and Society. For the workers and the middle class. For the unemployed, the low-ranking, the vulnerable groups of the population. And of course, for young people.

nastasiades’ government and the Minister of Justice and Public Order himself, Ionas Nikolaou, continue to be left exposed in what is happening inside and outside the football stadiums in our country. The reason for the big debate on the issue of violence on the stadiums, as well as the size of hooliganism that day by day is spreading rapidly in the athletic spaces, are the phenomena that took place in the game between AEL - APOEL in the Tsireio stadium. What has happened in the game proves that despite all the “announcements” by Ionas Nicolaou, the phenomenon of violence in the stadiums instead of improving is getting worse. The violent episodes that are observed are the result of ineffective decisions and omissions that fanned hooliganism and fanaticism in sport. Behind the violence in the stadiums there is a plethora of actions that have strengthened the problematic state policy. Shall we start from the so called “Fan card”? The impunity of the far-right elements that spread the violence among the supporters? The imposition of police withdrawal from the courts or the deployment of police departments to serve the government’s election campaign? Unfortunately, despite the outbreak of violence at a general level in Cypriot society, no one takes the political responsibility of his actions.

The violent episodes that are observed are the result of ineffective decisions and omissions that fanned hooliganism and fanaticism in sport.

The tolerance of the President of the Republic Nicos Anastassiades regarding the inactivity of the Minister of Justice makes him co-responsible with what is being done.

he process of the Economic Support Campaign has a particular ideological and political significance. Local Organizations and, by extension, Provincial Organizations have set their goals in conjunction with their capabilities and needs.

I have sent to the Party ten marks Don’t write my name, just my initials

In order for our organization to achieve its goals, it needs financial support from its members and friends. We therefore call on EDON members and friends to make all their efforts for the success of the Economic Support Campaign. To address broadly, in every workplace, in schools, in universities. We address every to all the youth that either politically and ideologically agrees with EDON, or because, it recognizes and appreciates its role and action. To successfully surpass all the goals of the Organizations.

Greek Left Poet and journalist Every single euro from every popular family is of particular value. At the same time that 90% of our the people saw their incomes fall, as a result of the unpopular policies of the Anastasiades government, the contribution to EDON in these circumstances proves greatness. The economic conditions and the difficulties that we all live in, requires a lot of work from all of us. Turning the Economic Support Campaign into a broad political expedition, with the organization of diverse political and cultural activities, it is certain that this battle will also be successful. You are our strength. By financially enhancing EDON, you are giving strength to the organization. You give us the power to continue the small and big everyday struggles. For Cyprus, for the Youth. Empower our struggles. Strengthen EDON.

he political paranoia of the President of the United States of America seems not to have an end. Determined to regain lost ground in its policy both internally and abroad, he announced that he would transfer his country’s Embassy to Jerusalem, recognizing the city at the same time as the capital of Israel. A city that is at the center of conflict between three monotheistic religions (Christianity, Judaism, and Muslims). Continuing the one-sided policy of provocation - we must recall the wall with Mexico, the expulsion of immigrants, the ban on Muslims entering U.S., etc. - Trump didn’t consider neither the international legitimacy nor the reaction that could cause such a development in the region. The move, however, must not be surprise us. With the reduction of US influence in the Middle East, the lack of control over Iraq, the Assad government’s stay in Syria, and Russia’s involvement in the Middle East, the US wants to recall the hegemonic role in international developments. The reaction was immediate and caused multiple turmoil on the political scene. Both the Palestinians and the surrounding countries of the Muslim world have reacted, with the situation becoming increasingly risky for a more general conflict in the region. EDON is in line with the struggle of the Palestinian people and the world peace movement, calling for the immediate withdraw of this decision. We support with all of our strength the fighting Palestinian people and we reinforce our international solidarity. We also remind that the Palestinian problem is one of the long-standing conflicts in the Middle East and it is a major obstacle to peace throughout the region. The solidarity shown by the Palestinian youth to us, we return it to them, with our willingness to respond to every appeal for joint action against imperialism and wars, for the world of peace, mutual respect and cooperation.
