Year 9 News Message from Miss Fazakerley

We are now two weeks into the Summer term and what an exciting two weeks it has been!

I had the pleasure of taking 30 students to the motivational conference run by the YES programme with Mrs Mason. It was such a brilliant day where the students worked on their communication with the external mentors, took part in team building activities and looked at how they change to a growth mindset ready for the lead up to their GCSE's.

The Year 9 boys football team had their district final Monday evening against St Marks, this was a brilliant game to watch, with lots of supporters, both parents and students. The boys lost last year to the same team! Managed to win having gone to extra time and penalties. A nail-biting game!

Please can I remind all students to have a reading book for DEAR time, this is a required part of equipment for your school day.
