Ways to Give

Dear Friends,

This year passed with many transitions and a steady drive to streamline operations to the benefit of students and future vitality. Becoming acquainted with the Northwest Catholic community has been a blessing. Dropping the “Interim” designation on January 1st and taking up the position of President has been a deep dive experience of curriculum development, plant operations, financial management and sports development. Many of the conversations I was privileged to have with NWC alums were around the dreams for their alma mater. For sports fans, discussions circled around installing turf fields, tennis courts, a track, a diving tank, as well as starting a rowing program, a wrestling team and a boys’ volleyball team. For supporters of the arts, there were many discussions about expanding theater rehearsal spaces as well as expanding our dance and theater arts programs.

Celebrate Northwest! raised the funds to upgrade our computer lab and to initiate the first E-Sports program in the area. Many alumni support the superb academic offerings with scholarships. Enhancing Advanced Placement courses was seen as a priority by both present parents and alumni as we continue to prepare our students for success in college. Viability has been bolstered by our endowment just recently passing the $5 million mark. It is moving to see the dedication of so many in the Northwest Catholic community give the tremendous support that not only sustains, but grows, this 60-year-old endeavor of education and faith. The stories of learning and friendship that make up these decades never cease to impress me.

Each anecdote of times past on Wampanoag Drive helped to fill in the impressive mosaic that makes up our 60 years. As we forge ahead into the future, I look forward to meeting more alums and listening to those tales of teenage years and the great accomplishments that followed, because of the care of faculty, staff, families, and cherished friends. Please be assured of my deep gratitude for your generosity and my daily prayers for your health and happiness. St. Thomas Aquinas, pray for us.

God bless,

Reverend Michael J. Dolan President
