Short-Term Rehab

We get you home faster! Our short-term rehabilitation services are patient-driven and designed for individuals needing an extensive rehabilitation program following an illness, surgery or injury. Our goal is to restore you to your prior level of functioning so you can return home quickly. Learn more about our rehab programs by visiting phoebe.org/rehab.

The Galley Garden project’s original $80,000 price tag is expected to be insufďŹ cient due to the drainage remediation required on the site. Additional contributions are still being gratefully accepted by Phoebe’s Institutional Advancement Department. If you would like to make a gift to honor Pastor Galley’s service, you can do so online by visiting www.phoebe.org/giving/donate-now. In the comment ďŹ eld, please write “Galley Garden.â€? Volunteering Keeps You Young! Volunteering doesn’t just make you feel good, it also improves your health because it helps you make new contacts, develop new friendships, and feel connected to the greater community. Many studies have documented a correlation between volunteering and positive aging among older adults. Phoebe’s volunteers provide essential services to our residents, helping us to accomplish our mission. Many of them continue to volunteer well into their 90’s and offer much of their time to our communities.

BeneďŹ ts of TeleHealth One may think seeing a doctor in-person would be preferred for seniors; however, virtual doctors’ visits have many advantages over in-person visits: s Worried about travel? The stress of a three-to-ďŹ ve hour transportation process required for an in-person visit can prevent residents and their family members from pursuing regularly scheduled appointments with their specialists. Virtual visits allow for regular appointments and improved care. s Phoebe’s staff is “in the know.â€? Phoebe’s Chief Medical OfďŹ cer, Dr. Thomas Renaldo, oversees the program and Phoebe’s staff has received specialized training for all aspects of the TeleHealth program. s Worried about the doctor not understanding the issues? As part of this program, the resident, family members, nurses, and therapists are interviewed prior to the TeleHealth session. This communication process allows the physician to receive a comprehensive picture of the resident’s progress. A licensed nurse is with the resident for the entire visit. s The program ram keeps our residents healthier. Outcomes tcomes seen at Phoebe include reduced readmissions to hospitals, reduced overall health care costs, and improved out outcomes for patients.

“As the nation’s healthcare system continues to evolve, I believe Phoebe’s implementation of new technologies will enhance the quality of life and outcomes for those we serve. Medicare does not reimburse Phoebe Ministries for any TeleHealth services we offer. However, it’s the right thing to do as far as senior healthcare goes, and Phoebe is known for doing the right thing. 3COTT 2 3TEVENSON 0RESIDENT #%/ 0HOEBE -INISTRIES
