NEUROSCIENCE When seconds count, you want to be under the care of top neurology experts. The Jefferson Neuroscience Center of southern New Jersey (part of the Vickie and Jack Farber Institute for Neuroscience) uses the most advanced technology to diagnose and treat stroke and stroke-related syndromes — as well as other neurological issues of the brain and spine, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

CANCER In the fight against cancer, the right team can make all the difference. That’s why Jefferson Health — New Jersey cancer patients at the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center Washington Township have access to the latest developments in cancer research, technology, and treatment — close to home.

ORTHOPEDICS Orthopedic surgeons at Jefferson Health — New Jersey have expertise in an array of non-surgical and surgical procedures, including hip, knee, ankle, and shoulder replacements; hip arthroscopy; and hand/upper extremity surgery. Regardless of the injury, condition or procedure, patients receive the highest standard of professional care.

BARIATRIC PROGRAM Being overweight can take over every aspect of your life—influencing your family, your work, your self-esteem, and, of course, your health. The Jefferson Bariatric Surgery Program provides proven weight-loss surgery options, ongoing education and support, and the backing of the top National Bariatric Accreditation Program in the country.

EMERGENCY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FUND Disasters can happen to any of us, at any time. When a Jefferson employee loses their home in a fire, faces the sudden loss of a spouse and insurmountable funeral costs, or can no longer keep up with a sick child’s medical bills — our Emergency Financial Assistance Fund steps in to relieve their financial burden and help them get back on their feet.

NURSING SCHOLARSHIP Pursuing a higher level of education changes lives and careers, however, advanced degrees are not always affordable. The Jefferson Health — New Jersey Department of Nursing Scholarship Fund helps associates pursue nursing degrees and advance their educational status through financial grants.

HELPING HAND FUND Dedicated to helping underinsured patients who are unable to afford out-of-pocket expenses, our General Patient Assistance Fund can be a lifeline. It helps patients acquire adaptive equipment, personal products, and transportation, and affords them care, despite limited insurance coverage or financial means.

ENDOWMENT Help us make it possible for Jefferson Health — New Jersey to be innovative, to hire future generations of skilled health providers, and realize our aspirations to be world leaders in clinical care.

VULNERABLE POPULATIONS Jefferson Health — New Jersey has created special opportunities to help vulnerable patient populations acquire access to specialized or routine care, adaptive equipment, personal products, transportation to and from appointments, and so much more.

Whether we are serving individuals with special needs, elder adults, or homeless individuals with medical needs, these most vulnerable patients need your help.

New Jersey’s 2017 Awards & Accolades

All three hospitals received “A” grades in the Fall and Spring 2017 Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade, our seventh consecutive “A” rating.

Jefferson Stratford Hospital was named a 2017 Leapfrog Top Teaching Hospital, a prestigious distinction less than 40 hospitals received nationwide.

Named a 2017-18 Best Hospital in the South Jersey Region by U.S. News & World Report for high performance in three clinical areas: Heart Failure, Colon Cancer Surgery and COPD. Of more than 4,500 hospitals evaluated, only 10% can call themselves a “Best Regional Hospital.”

The Comprehensive Breast Center in Washington Township achieved three-year full accreditation from the American College of Surgeons’ National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC).

Home Health Care was honored with its 2nd consecutive Fazzi Associates Patient Satisfaction Award of Distinction, presented to agencies in the top 25% nationally.

All three hospitals earned the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s Get With The Guidelines®-Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award.

Jefferson Health New Jersey was named a Top Workplace by Philly.com for the 4th consecutive year, based on employee feedback.

The Department of Radiation Oncology, based at the Cancer Center, earned three-year accreditation from the American College of Radiology (ACR).

The Comprehensive Diabetes Education Program was awarded the prestigious American Diabetes Association (ADA) Education Recognition Certificate for quality diabetes self-management education.
