Have you ever thought about waking up every day with long, perfect lashes? Who doesn’t love the feeling of knowing you look your absolute best? With KS Eyelash Extensions, this is possible.

You may have considered trying eyelash extensions before, but are hesitant because you know someone who had a negative experience or you haven’t had your questions about the procedure answered satisfactorily.

Let’s address those concerns now: Like any other beauty procedure, the quality of your outcome depends on the knowledge and skill of the artist. When applied correctly by a qualified professional using top-tier products, eyelash extensions do not impact the health of your natural lashes. Eyelash extensions are for anyone who desires to have that “wow” factor as part of their everyday look.

What does the procedure involve? A surgical adhesive is used to bond the extensions to your natural lashes. Depending on the condition of your lashes and the look you desire, this can take 60 to 120 minutes. After your procedure is completed, a simple daily routine is all that is required to maintain the look of your new eyelash extensions.

Many clients report how much more confident they feel as a result of their eyelash extensions, even without makeup.

The Hair Growth Cycle All human eyelashes fall into one of three categories During their growth cycle the same as the hairs on the rest of our body. Figure 2. Eyelash growth stages.

Cycle1 Anagen Eyelashes (New Growths) This is the invitial active growing stage of the lash so they are often very short meaning the are not the best lashes to apply too. We need to fully separate the lashes to ensure that the Anagen lashes have not been compromised or have been caught up in the adhesive, as these, will turn in to the Catagen lashes we will need to apply infills to when our clients return in three weeks time. It is essential that you fully separate any lashes that have got stuck together.

Cycle 2 Catagen Eyelashes (Mid-Cycle) This is the changing phase of the lash meaning they are detacing themselves from the blood supply that feeds them during the growing stage. These lashes somethings known as Mid-Cycle lashes, are the best lashes to apply to as they are strong enough to support an Eyelash Extension and will last for the duration of the resting phase.

Cycle 3 Telogen Eyelashes (Mature) This is the resting phase of the lash and they are often referred to as the Mature Lashes and are at the end of the growth cycle. While these lashes may be initially strong enough. to support the eyelash extension. Telogen lashes will not last as long as Mid-Cycle Catagen lashes.

Infills:

A full set of lashes can look great for a couple of weeks, but naturally lashes will start to shed. Everyone’s eyelashes fall out at different intervals, but on average we lose around 42-70 lashes a fortnight. So, when you start to see gaps in your lashes, what do you do? Well, you can either get a lash infill or you can get a whole new set of lashes. If you wish to maintain your lashes, usually between 2-4 weeks, you will require infills. Timing depends on factors such as: • • • •

Generally, the more lashes we apply, the longer they last (more to lose). How you treat them. Your lash cycle and how fast you are shedding/growing lashes. Your skin type (oilier complexions usually shed lashes faster).

We will infill up to around 3-4 weeks, as long as at least 1/3 of the lashes have been retained well.
