‘SLOPE-WALK’ Our Eco Bridge proposal is based on a simple and pure concept: to recreate the link that once existed in the current situation of the infrastructural void with a spatial structure that would be atmospherically reminiscent to a pictorial passage through the southern slopes of the two discontinued mountain peaks of Mt. Umyeon and Maljukgeori Parks. The proposal is inspired by the naturally green integrity of mountain peaks – the inherent part of Mt. Umyeon and Maljukgeori Parks and the landscape experience of the accompanying side slope paths. The landscape of the bridge is referential to the natural, informal, simplistic and unforced nature of Korean gardens. The architectural language of the structure of the intervention is tender to the rhythmic nature of the traditional Korean garden pavilions traditionally used to invite for the enjoyment of the surrounding garden sceneries. The two intended environments suggest a structural concept: Arch bridge (central core) forming a straight human path + an integration of suspended bridge structure on its side that is forming a gently undulating slope between the two mountain peaks (slope) for the animals. The structure in positioned in the altitude that is convenient to separate the human and the animal realms in the elevation (upper part serves for the nature and the lower part for the people)

This proposed design for Science Island creates a marked but porous division between a newly created urban environment and existing parklands. In keeping with the Science Centre’s emphasis on environmental matters, this design provides a natural barrier across the island to preserve the purity of the park. The orientation of the building allows for a fluency of movement via bridges – the existing pedestrian bridge and a new south-bank bridge – connecting the island to the old-town and expected future developments in South Kaunas. To minimise car traffic, we have kept the Science Centre as close to the Žalgiris Arena as possible. Since most visitors to Žalgiris Arena arrive in the evening from 20h, we propose that this existing car park be available to Science Centre visitors during its daytime opening hours. Deliveries will be restricted to the East side of the island. The building’s main principle is to divide the island into two parts – the landscape and the hardscape. The balancing building concept was conceived as a subtle intervention into the terrain, and acts as an abstract rectilinear sculptural object. It allows Science Centre curators to make use of both the paved, constructed side of the island and the natural side. The building acts to soften the bulky effect of the Arena structure, to integrate it more subtly into the island space. As a linear volume, the structure maximises possibilities for navigation and exhibition. As a feat of engineering, the balancing building captures the spirit of experiment, and reminds us of scientific apparatus.

The Project Concept implies construction of an upscale lifestyle community comprised of a professionally serviced apartment complex, as well as a variety of stylish townhouses and luxurious private villas located in the most prestigious part of the main island of Seychelles – Mahe. The neighboring premium residential development blocks – Eden Island and the proposed Pangia Beach – create additional synergy. The project includes advanced infrastructure including: SPAcomplex, shopping arcade, several restaurants and a club-house with a pool and a private marina. Projected site has direct access to the beach. The entrance access to the territory of the complex should be organized directly from Providence Highway at the south-east of the land plot, adjacent to Airtel Telecom. The buildings of amenities and facilities shall be positioned with the back sides (including unloading areas) towards south-east border of the land plot (towards Airtel Telecom buildings). Apartment complex shall be arranged as a single or several interlocked architectural spaces along the whole length of the south border of the land plot (Providence Highway). This will enable screening against noise produced by the highway.

This is a new type of a biomimetic architecture that seeks solutions for sustainability in nature, not by replicating natural forms, but by understanding the rules governing those forms – it follows a set of principles of combination of unit through a script translated into a form. It takes its beginning in the examination of a coral, its models, systems and processes of growth. The form is derived from the content of units in continuous movement resembling a sea creature – coral or the moving of the sea. It has no beginning and no end. It can be a continuous endless line forming a variety of curvy shapes. Each unit acts as an individual organism just as a coral – growing cell by cell forming large conglomerations. The project implies construction of an upscale lifestyle community comprised of a professionally serviced apartment complex, located on the reclaimed part of the main island of Seychelles – Sailwin. The project includes advanced infrastructure: spa-complex, several restaurants and a club-house with a pool and a private marina. Project site has a direct access to the beach.

VOROB’EVI HILLS (in 1935-1999 - the Lenin Hills) - one of the most beautiful places in Moscow. It is a high right bank of the Moscow River. Located opposite the Luzhniki Stadium, considered one of the “Seven Hills of Moscow.” Neskuchny garden is adjacent to the site from the east. It is 80 meters high from the Moscow river. The landscape of mountains forms a self-titled Vorob’evi Park, a part of which survived three ponds, as well as an array of broad-leaved forests. On Vorob’evi Hills offers the most extensive and picturesque panoramas of the capital. SKI JUMP In 1953 the ski Jump was erected on the hill, an illuminated ski slope with chairlift of 340 meters long. In early 2015, plans were announced to renovate and build a new ski jump and a cableway between the Vorob’evi hills and the stadium “Luzhniki”, which would combine sightseeing, transportation and sports functions.

“A BEAM OF LIGHT” The proposed ski jump type K-75 is designed for training and demonstration jumps. The idea behind the scheme is allegorical representation of a “Beam of Light” as a symbol of speed and flight. Simple subversive rectangular supporting structure “case” of the ski jump creates an image of rigor and accuracy of the calculation of the flight and the competition and bent stuffing - flexibility and a sense of freedom flight. The rectangular shape of its sculptural simplicity emphasizes the beauty of the landscape Vorob’evi Hills and the monumental complex of the university. It blends harmoniously into the environment without breaking but rather adding to its integrity. The supporting structure is fabricated from a metal truss which rests on a single point of contact with the hill that allows to build the upper part of the mast hopping without supports. Slope design allows 28 degrees to keep the structure on the same support and Macalloy rod systems which stretches from the foot of the ramp (see. Section) At the top mark of the ski jump is a preparatory platform for athletes and an observation deck with a bar for tourists. Inclined elevator hidden in the left side of the structure is used to transport athletes to the site, and the vertical lift, with capacity of 75 persons / hour on Kosygin Street, serves visitors to the observation deck.

The LANDSCAPE BUILDING concept was conceived as a subtle exchange, it is a terrain itself. The building uses every aspect of its construction for navigation and art exhibition. The roof slopes are pedestrian walkways and they form a sculpture park. (The gradients of sculpture park give many different observation angles for users to apprehend the sculptural work on display.) The views from these roof gradients onto the surrounding buildings and parkland also give the idea that this building is a piece of landscape itself.
PROJECT - wbw-m20 Ideas Competition Status - Comptetition LOCATION - Matthäikirchplatz, 10785 Berlin, Germany. CREDITS - Simon Gatehouse, Nikoloz Japaridze, Giorgi Nishnianidze, Anton Khmelnitskiy, Ivane Ksnelashvili, Natasha Randall, Davit Tsanava, Dominykas Daunys
The LANDSCAPE BUILDING expresses the notion of a seamless transition between urban spaces. Its white translucent appearance suggests a universal, timeless character with no obvious materiality. Its architectural elevation from the Potsdamer Str. perspective, has a rectangular shape. But as an observer circumnavigates the edifice, it changes its appearance and shape – in this way, it provides a particularly relativistic experience.
PERSONAL ROLE - Project & team leader involved in all stages of the project: site analysis, program analysis, overall concept development, urban concept, architecture concept, technical drawings, presentation material, final visualizations WEB
The LANDSCAPE BUILDING, poised between the structures that express qualities of the grid and the sculptural (the Nationalgalerie and the Opera), incorporates both of these qualities. The LANDSCAPE BUILDING completes the architectural dialogue at the site.

Nine Elms Bridge | 2015 | COLLABORATION WITH ARCHITECTS OF INVENTION | www.architectsofinvention.com |
THE CLIP The new link between historic Pimlico and the cutting-edge development at Nine Elms should express the city’s ambitions for those neighbourhoods and for London as a whole.
PROJECT - Nine Elms Bridge STATUS - Competition shortlist Stage 1 LOCATION - Nine Elms Lane - St Georges square, London. UK
On the south side, a gateway that will define a modern development; on the north side, a seamless entrance to classic Pimlico and Victoria beyond. Over the river, two asymmetrical arches gracefully soar over a continuous loop – a striking geometry that refers to London’s other bridges while reproducing none of them.
LEAD BRIDGE CONSULTANT - Hewson Consulting LANDSCAPE - Hyland Edgar Driver LIGHTING - Lumieres Studio STRUCTURE - Engenuiti
Dedicated cycling lanes mean that The Clip will become a vital artery for commuters. The separate pedestrian paths and public realm frame new perspectives on the city making it a place to linger, meet friends and enjoy the view. The vertical arches and the horizontal loop frame vistas east and west towards the London Eye and the revitalised Battersea Power Station. Separation of the walkways results in a different viewing experience, through the loop at passing boats and out towards the city.

The design is sensitive both to the white stucco-fronted Regency architecture of Pimlico, and also to the sculptural and innovative ideas of the new Nine Elms. The cycle lanes are accessible through ramps, while there are segregated ramps and lifts for pedestrian and disabled users. The landing points touch lightly on either side forming a safe and seamless transition for all users. With its unobstructed views and spacious walkways The Clip will become an attraction for both Londoners and visitors. The Clip: Bringing Londoners Together

Origami Highline CONCEPT – ORIGAMI HIGHLINE Entitled “Origami Highline,” the project draws inspiration from the ancient Japanese paper folding craft of origami and takes the form of a sculptural intervention in Balmaceda Park.
| 2015 | COLLABORATION WITH ARCHITECTS OF INVENTION, ARCHIPLAN | www.architectsofinvention.com | PROJECT - Origami Highline STATUS - Competition LOCATION - Santiago, Chile
The planting of 200 Sakura trees inspired the idea of completing the park with an origami-style structure. The interplay between the delicate and frizzy trees and the subtle but rigid Origami highline makes an appealing and graceful contrast. The abundance of cherry blossoms in the late spring is always highly appealing to parkusers and the highline will provide a pleasing experience of the blossoms from a higher perspective. As a raised leisure area and connection bridge, Origami highline opens Balmaceda park in vertical and diagonal directions, resonating with Tajamar Towers, and bringing the territory into one whole. By folding a conical red plane three times, the flat form becomes a functional object. There are three main features of the object:

The landscape in front of the towers will be designed by mixing hardscape and softscape, blending Sakura trees through organised pedestrian paths. Sakura trees will also be integrated into the car park area. Huelin street will be paved with modern, flat cobblestones. The volumetric composition of the architectural ensemble is formed by sensitive touch to the existing topography of the landscape. New blocks are accommodated on the natural hill terraces. The structure of the ensemble is headed by monumental block of halls as big scale reference to the architecture of institutional neighbourhood an the structure is gradually reduced respecting the existence of the old small scale chapel. New LMTA building blocks are forming rhythmical multi-layered order of composition which is common to the old town character. The structure is tangential to the Olandu street resulting the open access to public and vital Lawn plaza, and creating the visual and noise traffic barrier for the LMTA environment The architecture of the ensemble is specific by its cloister structuring. The ensemble is designed as the new dominant Olandų st. icon by expressively opening the screen of representational Halls block lobby. The anatomy of the independent courts, enclosing volumes, and strong communicational bond- gallery reflects the democratic structure of LMTA as institution. The object which architecture is articulated by minimalist approach is focused into interaction with natural land-
scape. The topography organically and gradually grows into the building architecture- from the overall structure to the detail. Historical urban structure is respected using this methods: Expressing the enclosed character of the location; recreating the Parako alley as the main and initial entrance into the territory and by shaping the architectural composition of the building to elaborate its end; preserving and renewing ė of inherited historical buildings; attributing to the typological tradition of Vilnius University ensemble; keeping the old town character by proportion the dominant volume, forming cloister structures and continuing the transitional galleries.
The cloister structure of inner unclears each of them forms the ensemble of autonomous functional blocks interconnected with the transitional gallery, which articulates the educational direction towards the stage. The climate for academicals community is created as an open innovative space for collaboration focused on interactive and digital tools and technologies extending the infrastructure of curriculum.

The new residential development is positioned in Staines-upon-Thames at the edge of the river Thames on top of an existing two level car park adjacent to the historic Staines Bridge. The south-west elevation faces the embankment, the south-east is positioned on Bridge Street and the building faces Clarence Street to the East. There are adjacent buildings to the site – Strata House to the North, Edge Court residential building to the East, The Staines Bridge to the East and Swan Hotel to the West.
PROJECT - BRIDGE STREET STATUS - Concept Proposal LOCATION - Staines upon Thames, Spelthorne, Surrey, UK. PERSONAL ROLE - Project & team leader involved in all stages of the project: site analysis, program analysis, overall concept development, urban concept, architecture concept, technical drawings, presentation material, visualizations
The structure represents the idea of a circular forum encapsulating the spirit of community and integration. It speaks to the surroundings by positively embodying the concept of connection: between city, river and the historic Staines Bridge. The emphasis on integration in this design means city and residential units are given to each other. Likewise, the building itself opens 360 degrees to the city – allowing for most of the flats to have a view of the river.

The community centre and library in Hloubetin is positioned at the edge of the historic gardens of a castle and St. Georges church. The castle is surrounded by a containing wall and there is a gap in the wall which coincides with the plot of the community centre. This structure represents the idea of the GATE, encapsulating the spirit of community and integration. It speaks to the ‘within and without’ nature of the historic wall by positively embodying the concept of connection: between society, culture and garden. The emphasis on permeability in this design means street and garden are given to each other. Likewise, the building itself opens in various ways onto the garden – allowing for a variety of architectural formulations for public events. Historically, the church and the castle formed the centre of Hloubetin. A wise approach to upgrading the townscape must include developing and restoring the centre to attract visitors and create a community hub. By re-emphasising the historical centre – indeed the whole area could be pedestrianized – this creates a platform, both literally and metaphorically where a market place, restaurants, cafes, an organised car park, local shops can be properly sited. This proposed pedestrianized zone places Hloubetin exactly within the European tradition of the central square.

Halo Santiago | 2014 | COLLABORATION WITH ARCHITECTS OF INVENTION | www.architectsofinvention.com |
The concept of this tower suggests the volcano and optical phenomena such as the halo and the sun pillar. The ideas originate with the early modernists such as Rodchenko, Tatlin, Yakov Chernikhov and Malevich.
PROJECT - Torre Antena de Santiago Status - Competition LOCATION - San CristĂłbal Hill, Santiago, Chile. AWARDS - 3rd prize winner
Chile has an enormous amount of active volcanoes and this tower evokes that seismic dynamism with its smoke-plume vertical extension that seems to twist and rise. Likewise, the light emitted at night by the viewing platform is miniscent of the wide glow from an active eruption. The evocation here is more about spreading than upward movement, such as a volcano does as it emits its fiery contents.
PERSONAL ROLE - Project & team leader involved in all stages of the project: site analysis, program analysis, overall concept development, urban concept, architecture concept, technical drawings, presentation material, visualizations
The relationship of the tower to the statue of Saint Mary is important also in that the horizontal emphasis does not represent a dominating presence but rather a shared mountainous space. The mountain’s gentle slopes are resonant with the viewing platform’s disposition that erases a hierarchy along the skyline to Saint Mary.

The viewing platform also suggests an optical halo – which seems to float in the sky, suspended only by cables. At night, the halo-like shape hovers above the mountain peak with only a series of red lights shining above it.

Russian Pavilion at the 2015 Milan Expo as a part of the Expo’s Herzog & de Meuron-designed masterplan. Designed to evoke the connotation that Russia is one of the biggest agriculture exporters in the world, the pavilion “Russia: The Fields of Growth” will contribute to the Expo’s theme of “Feeding the Planet”, and at the same time introduce a dynamic and powerful image of the modern Russia that originates in the country’s great past. This architectural solution is based on one conceptual act: the use of a large-scale form (single bend of a plane) that originates in the monumental traditions of the best of twentieth century Soviet architecture. A 17-meter long Stella indicates the main entrance to the pavilion from the main pedestrian artery of the exhibition, and continues into the field-roof. Inside, the walls and ceiling of the pavilion is designed as an interactive screen with constantly changing images. On top of the pavilion, there is a landscaped garden, where visitors can pass time throughout the day. Thus, the dynamic architecture of the pavilion emphasizes the continuous link between technology and nature.

The proposed concept is an example of so-called ‘quantum’ architecture, since the roof and the wall comprise single form, where the natural and the technological complement each other. Such an approach fits well into the latest trends of modern architecture, and puts the Russian Pavilion on an equal footing among other national pavilions, combining depth of analysis and contemporary design.

Class A Office Building | 2013-2014 | COLLABORATION WITH ARCHITECTS OF INVENTION | www.architectsofinvention.com | PROJECT - SMO - Office Building STATUS - Under Construction LOCATION - Moscow, Russia PERSONAL ROLE - Involved in all stages of the project: site analysis, program analysis, overall concept development, urban concept, architecture concept, technical drawings, presentation material, visualizations CREDITS - Niko Japaridze, Anton khmelnitskiy, Juan Alberto Morillas, Ivane Ksnelashvili, Petras Isora, Carlota Gimeno, Magdalini Giannakidi. Office building with underground car park is located in Central District. The site is located in a courtyard tightly enclosed by residential buildings on three sides. The building is designed as a seven-story office block, comprising of three volumes wrapped loosely in a glass skin. The internal volumes are parallelograms and glazed, while the outer glass-skin of the building only approximates their shape, providing voids between the volumes and the outer-façade. These voids act as buffer-space, and are used for panoramic lifts and an atrium. The concept behind this project is derived from the classic orangery where a glass skin acts as dynamic sculptural form containing the objects (trees) that define its function. The outer skin wraps the three office volumes, sometimes connecting at the corners of the volumes, and sometimes exactly tracing their facades. Each volume has one facade that gives onto the street outside. The void adjacent to the top volume creates a summer terrace and a penthouse floor for chief executives, overlooking the city.

National Center Of Contemporary Arts NCCA | 09. 2013 | COLLABORATION WITH A2SM ARCHITECTS | www.a2sm.lt | PROJECT - ‘New NCCA‘ National Center of Contemporary Arts STATUS - Competition LOCATION - Moscow, Russia
The concept for the National Center of Contemporary Arts is derived by choosing a “zero form”, a geometric blank screen which is shaped as a monumental black square. The aim is a rediscovering of a pure art form which is cleaned of accumulated things. A building for itself, a meta building. A simple clear shape which is full of content inside. It is not expressing, it is containing.
PERSONAL ROLE - Project & team leader involved in all stages of the project: site analysis, program analysis, overall concept development, urban concept, architecture concept, technical drawings, presentation material, visualizations
The surrounding is interpreted as the urban tissue’s amphitheater which serves to focus one’s gaze towards the building’s substance, a concentrated purity, towards the screen as well as towards calmness itself.
CREDITS - Aurimas Sasnauskas, Sla Malenko, Ivane Ksnelashvili, Giedrius Mamavičius, Ieva Saldauskaitė, Joris Šykovas.
The building’s lack of active self-expression becomes a physical manifestation. This clear blank wall floats above the incoherent urban context and rises above banality and momentary trends. It has the sense of a desert filled with spirit. Again, it is not an empty black square – it’s a “full void”.

Associations and metaphors are joined together for conversation in this building. It represents a data storage drive, a memory containing device to house new Russian modern art. The inside of the building is a three-dimensional field in which all kinds of matter exists. The building is constructed from a thin rectangular volume serving to connect (both physically and visually) several additional volumes adjoined to it. These volumes function as exhibition spaces, auditoriums, offices, recreational areas etc. On the inside, the “zero form building is actually full of functional objects floating in space.
Selected projects by Ivane Ksnelashvili
The connecting volume is filled with mutually open elements: staircases, elevators and escalators by which one can reach the adjoined volumes where the main functions of the art center are located. A new concept of exploring and experiencing art is introduced through movement. The programmatic spine is organized vertically and visitors’ movement through the building happens in a continuous loop that offers various ways to engage with the art or to participate in other activities. In the connecting volume, the spaces which are unoccupied by the connecting elements serve as areas for rest, overlooking the functional volumes as well as panoramas of the city. This new dynamic cultural institution offers a new type of spatial organization, which could be used in many different ways, as a platform for experimentation.

The frame is an inarguably strong shape. It is multi-faceted and yet regular - just like the law. The glass encasement of this building represents the strength and clarity of legal thought. Within this glass cube is located a centrum, a locus of concrete thought, the central reasoning mechanism, which looks out at all angles through the crystallineprism of the legal medium. The building is extravert but also contains space for inner activity. It is a monument to both privacy and transparency at exactly the same time - which reflects the dignity of law and justice.
PERSONAL ROLE - Involved in all stages of the project: site analysis, program analysis, overall concept development, urban concept, architecture concept, construction drawings, presentation material, site supervision
The inner structure, the power centre of the building, is coated with mirror. The building therefore endlessly folds in upon itself - and yet it reflects all that is happening outside of it.

The existing building complex was built in the 70th century – for the Soviet Military Headquarters of the Caucasus region. The complex consists of several building. Special attention is given to the upper blocks (Blocks No: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6). Structural analysis is done specifically for the main building of the complex. The complex is located on crossroads of the Vake-Saburtalo road and Tamarashvili Avenue opposite the Hippodrome. It is formed in Russian letter П-shape. TBC Oasis is an experience, a discovery of boundless resource within secure parameters. Visitors enter through the building’s opening, like a key entering a lock, and a lush and fertile oasis appears before them. The whole design strives towards oasis, representing both a nourishing source but also a sense of rescue. The outside facade is closed but the interior space is enormous, light and expansive, embodying the opportunity and security of belonging to TBC bank as a customer. The essence of this design suggests the strong protection and inner abundance of a financial institution with integrity.

This work represents the idea of dynamics in sport with the abstract compositions of the staircase and the reception table. The first object you encounter is the introverted desk with its never-ending fissure, and then you meet the extroverted staircase - like the open path to Olympus, where the summit meets its own reflection, inferring that striving never ends, that there is no limit to human achievement. The building was built at the end of the XIX century for a private investor and it was later used as the residence of one of the leaders of the Communist party. Later it was renovated in the 1960’s for government purposes and remained untouched until this year. The structure was reinforced at the basement level which allowed us to make significant openings in the walls of the upper stories and place the staircase so it shifted from one space to another thus penetrating the structure.

The site is located adjacent to the old Batumi and serves as one of the access points between the harbour and the city. The surrounding area is mostly residential with some hotels and public recreational zones. The site is overlooking the harbour and opens views to 360 degrees. The concept behind this buliding is the notion of a vertical street, including open public spaces which act like gardens or courtyards along a lateral street. However, the vertical street has one advantage over the ground-level street, which is its vantage point. Each terrace overlooks a different part of the city and is programmed for different types of entertainment - a restaurant, a bar, a gym, a spa, a pool and a sky park on the roof. The buliding is divided into four distinct volumes. By simple shifts of these volumes we open up a certain space on top of each volume creating recreational platforms for the public as if reclaiming the site area. The area of the site is equal to the total gained roof terrace area.

The density and mixture of programme of the proposed building has emerged based on a number of considerations: • Primarily, the desire to bring different aspects of urban life to a residential area. In other words, to provide open elevated platforms for enjoying panoramic views of the city. • A focus has been given to introducing mixed-programme platforms on different levels of the building. There are no existing viewing platforms for public use in the old city area. The inclusion of elevated platforms in the building will define its uniqueness and importance in Leeds. • The programme mixture has been driven by a comprehensive feasibility study and market assessment in which various asset classes were analysed. The relative opportunities for each component of programme resulted in an optimal development mix to meet possible public needs. • 21 levels of building programme have been introduced to maximaze the use of land and budget.

The concept behind this building centres on the notion of an elevated landscape, an open public platform which acts like an open amphitheatre for viewing the performance on the stage. However, the elevated landscape has one advantage over a ground-level plan, which is that it preserves the original land surface. The whole platform overlooks the sea and maintains access to the whole programme below.

The building is essentially a horizontal platform which was lifted to liberate the space below and then tilted to expose views to the sea and create an quasiamphitheatrical shape. The area of the site is equal to the total gained roof terrace area. So the roof acts like a facade and a platform at the same time. But it is also an extension of the boulevard. The platform is linked to the boulevard by a broad set of stairs, which are designed be actively used by the public for sitting and enjoying the views.

Underneath the deck-platform would be used for hanging cafes and restaurants. A focus has been given to introducing a raised deck-platform, to liberate the land and connect directly to the garden. The deck-platform will be divided into residential and public areas. IMAX cinema is positioned in the middle of the development thus connecting all functions of the building becoming a centre of composition and the programme. The twin towers 160m tall represent - dynamics, solidity and distinguished purpose of the building. These towers will be the tallest towers in the city.

Solution
Introducing the deck-platform as the main interaction-point of the programme was derived from an analysis of public spaces, community life and local climate. The relative access and recreational opportunities for each component of the programme resulted in an optimal development focus to meet all possible public needs. All functions of the building have separate access points to the deck-platform making the deck-platform an open connection zone through the retail. The project relies on one level of building programme in order to maximise the use of land and budget. The building consists of a two underground levels of storages and parking which connects Kipiani str. and the embankment.

Tbilisi Tower TT ‘Floating City’
| 12. 2011 | COLLABORATION WITH ARCHITECTS OF INVENTION | www.architectsofinvention.com |
The concept behind this building is the idea of elevated traditional urban fabric as a public platform which acts like viewing platform and terrace overlooking the city. However, the building is positioned as a conventional tower, and it dismantles at its apex as if lowering its full height to more horizontality.
PROJECT - TBILISI TOWER, Mix Use STATUS - Concept Design LOCATION - Virsaladze str. Tbilisi, Georgia PROGRAM - Restaurant, Offices, Spa, Apart-Hotel BUILDING AREA - 25000 M2 BUDGET - 50 Mil
The programme is distributed into staggered components on top of each other by emphasising a middle core as a single function - office.

This emphasises the gravitational conditions of the platform which semantically tend towards being a substance floating over the ground, derived from the notion of a cloud or a light sense of a matter. This follows the architectural tradition of Metabolists Kisho Kurokawa, Arata Isozaki, Archigram, Yona Friedman and other great architects bringing ideas and forces of gravity into reality.

The surrounding area is mostly residential with hotels and public recreational zones like Park 26 May and lake Nuri. The site is overlooking the courtyardand opens views along the cost. There is a university building adjacent to the site and which heighten activity in the area. New Radisson hotel from the north-west is the main visual marker in relation to the building. The concept behind this buliding is the idea of “The Knowledge Hole as a public space which acts like viewing platform overlooking the city. However, the building is positioned as a wall, the hole becomes main focal points connecting two sides of the site. The building is formed as a single volume. The programme is distributed in staggering of each component on top of each other. Building is divided in two parts by corridor and two service cores in both ends of 50 m long corridor.

Culture & Tourism Information Center Nida is a resort town in Lithuania, located on the Curonian Spit. It has 1,650 residents and is the administrative center of the Neringa municipality. Nida Airport is located in the town. Nida is the westernmost point of Lithuania and the Baltic States.
| 03. 2012 | COLLABORATION WITH A2SM ARCHITECTS | www.a2sm.lt | PROJECT - ‘AGILA‘ CULTURE AND TOURISM INFORMATION CENTER STATUS - Competition LOCATION - Nida, Neringa, Lithuania
Nida center is formed in Soviet times, at the same period was built the present Municipality, Cultural Center “Agila”, shopping center and restaurant. The shopping center and the municipality are positioned beyond the central boulevard, but the pedestrian space is unclear and uncomfortable. We propose the main public square, which is adapted to cultural representation, or everyday use.
PERSONAL ROLE - Involved in all stages of the project: site analysis, program analysis, overall concept development, urban concept, architecture concept, technical drawings, presentation material, visualizations

| 07. 2011 | COLLABORATION WITH A2SM ARCHITECTS | www.a2sm.lt | PROJECT - OFFICE BUILDING IN KAZAKHSTAN STATUS - Competition LOCATION - Momishuly Str, Astana - Kazakhstan PROGRAM - Restaurant, Offices, Shopping and business centre BUILDING AREA - 1327 M2 BUDGET - 8 Mil CREDITS - Aurimas Sasnauskas, Sla Malenko, Ivane Ksnelashvili, Arminas Sadzevicius, Gabrielius Šegždavičius
The building continues iconic building generation in Astana, while the city is very controversial, but the site is very important for it. Required programme of the building is luxurious shopping center and separated offices. It is three storeys building. Rotating required programme upside down changes the typical functional system and adds better conditions. More parking places, better inner lighting. Adaptation to extreme climate changes (-40 +40 C), Protection from rain and sun, creation new intimate public spaces and new perspective views. The building as a shopping center has already predesigned image because of the roof balancing between of stability and unstableness.
