June 23-26: 9:00 AM—11:30 AM Each day the players will work on defensive skills through individual drills and team competition. Offensive skills will be honed through cage work (tee, soft toss, and short toss drills) along with on-field hitting. Each day will involve a scrimmage and a review of all mechanics that were taught.

June 23-26: 10:45 AM—12:00 PM In this camp we introduce young campers to basketball. We work on skills like ball handling, passing, shooting (using 9 ft baskets) and defense. Daily games are played as we help develop skills. Fun is the name of the game at this camp! Coach Brian Lind Fee: $35

June 9-13: 8:00 AM—9:30 AM The camp provides an introduction to the game of football, including demonstrations and fundamentals for the offensive and defensive positions that the child chooses. One-on-one drills are taught each day to better the camper’s techniques. Coach Chuck Faucette Fee: $75

These two camps devote time each day to skill development. The majority of the time however is spent on game situations with1 on 1, 3 on 3, and 5 on 5. On Friday we have “Finals Friday” where campers participate in skill competitions and a series of competition based games and tournaments.

This camp is an introduction to LHSS football for incoming freshman Lancers.
In this camp, players work exclusively on skill development through participation in drills, games and competitions. This camp is for anyone who enjoys basketball. Competitions are between players of similar grade and skill levels. Skill awards are given daily!

This camp is for incoming LHSS students who wish to play high school basketball. The camp is an introduction to our Boys’ Basketball program and serves as a springboard for the upcoming season.

The camp will focus on individual skill development: shooting, passing, dribbling and defense. The LHSS coaching staff and players will provide focused skill instruction so that each player improves their game over the course of the week. There will be no team competition during this camp. Students will get instruction in the use of a camera; they will walk through various parks and cemeteries and go to the City Museum to take pictures. One evening will also be made available for taking night shots. Basic photo editing and cropping will be covered as well. Students must bring their own digital camera, preferably with a lens, as well as a flash drive to save their edited photos.

May 27, June 3, 10, 17, 24 & 25: 6:15 PM - 7:30 PM The camp is spread over five weeks. Students meet for weekly rehearsals. The program culminates in a summer band concert which includes an ice cream social. Students receive a Summer Band t-shirt. This is a great way to keep your students playing for a little more of summer vacation!

May 27-29: 6:00 PM—9:00 PM The camp will focus on individual skill development along with an introduction to LHSS program offensive and defensive schemes. Players will work for half the time in small groups with focused instruction to become better individual players. The other half will be centered around team concepts and becoming a better player within the team structure of the LHSS Girls’ Basketball program. The camp is at the beginning of the summer basketball program, giving players the opportunity to apply what they learned in camp to the rest of the summer. The goal of this camp is prepare the team and individual for the high school season. Our camp will train the players to increase their soccer awareness, sharpen their individual skills, and increase their fitness levels.

The goal of this camp is to present each camper with technical and tactial elements of soccer to allow each child to develop skills that lead to a well-rounded player. Campers will have opportunities to work as a team and as individuals while enjoying the sport of soccer.

This camp will be entirely competition based. Campers will play 1 on 1, 3 on 3, and 5 on 5 over the course of the camp. The competition camp will focus on improving individual play through competition and team play. Campers will be assigned teams on the first day and play games throughout the week that will lead to tournaments at the end of the week. Campers will be allowed to learn through competition, and be instructed on basic team fundamentals. The camp will have limited fundamentals instruction.

June 16-20: 6:00 PM—7:30 PM Field Hockey is a unique sport that is similar to a combination of soccer and ice hockey. It is fun and fast-paced. During this camp, basic skills are taught, and then developed and sharpened. By the end of camp, competition and scrimmages put all those skills to use. Experienced players and coaches will help teach new campers (no more than two campers per experienced player). Join the fun! Shin guards and mouth guards are recommended, but not required.
