It’s time to PLAY BALL! This camp will introduce students to batting, fielding, and catching techniques necessary for playing at higher levels of competition. Boys will be introduced to football fundamentals and then enjoy the challenge of competition. Both offensive and defensive skills will be taught along with special teams. There will be individual competitions and team competitions to round out this exciting camp. Coach Brian Simmons Fee: $50

Can math be cool? It is at Lutheran North! This camp is open to the first 16 registrants who are entering grade 9 at LHSN. Students will use technology to explore algebraic concepts and problems essential to high school mathematics. TI-84 calculators will be provided for students to use.

June 16-20: 12:00 PM—3:00 PM Do you have what it takes? Are you ready to have fun and learn the game? This camp introduces younger girls to traditional basketball offense and defense and allows them to practice and perfect shooting and passing. The older girls learn more advanced strategies for team play as well as reinforcing the fundamentals such as shooting and passing.

This ceramics camp will let you get your hands dirty making awesome artwork out of clay. Learn a variety of building techniques while you make sculptures, whistles, bowls, mugs, and more. Campers will also have the chance to try throwing pots on the potter’s wheel. Projects will be glazed, fired, and completely functional. Due to the time required to dry and fire the clay, some projects will need to be picked up the following week at your convenience.

First Aid/Healthy Fun 2014-2015 GRADE LEVELS

June 9-13: 12:00 PM—2:00 PM 9-1-1! It is an EMERGENCY! Are you prepared? Have fun while you learn to be prepared for different types of emergencies. Learn basic First Aid as taught by the American Red Cross so you know how to give first aid at home to a sibling, a friend, or a child while you’re babysitting. You will also assemble your own first aid kit. Successful completion of the class will provide you with a two-year American Red Cross First Aid Certificate. Instructor: Jane Mark, R.N. Fee: $50
