37th Annual
Fantasy Faire Auction
November 21, 2015
In support of the ministry of our high schools
November 21, 2015 Dear Friends of the Association:
In appreciation of your ongoing support, we extend to you a warm welcome to the Lutheran High School Association’s 37th Annual Fantasy Faire Auction. We appreciate your attendance in support of Lutheran North and Lutheran South. Enjoy the evening of giving, fun and fellowship! Each year the Fantasy Faire Auction raises funds that directly benefit the students at both of our schools. We continually strive to provide the best in Lutheran education by Building Strong Minds and Nurturing Christian Hearts. We thank the 2015 Auction Chairs, Keith and Kathy Odegard, and the many volunteers who have worked hard to make this special evening an opportunity to grow the ministry of our high schools. Of course, we encourage you to bid generously. In addition to the $90,000 already committed to this event through our generous sponsors and advertisers, we hope to raise an additional $110,000 tonight for our schools. The silent, timed and oral auctions, along with our Fund-‐A-‐Future request benefitting financial assistance efforts, will make our goal a reality. Several donors have already provided matching dollars to double your gift during this portion of the evening! We would like to thank you, our many friends and supporters, who give of themselves in many ways to promote Lutheran Christian education in St. Louis. God bids us to encourage the children to come to Him. This evening, we hope you will do some bidding of your own in support of this important ministry.
Tonight is all about our students and their future. Thank you for everything you do for Lutheran High School South and Lutheran High School North. Yours in Christ, John Schmidt LHSA Board Chairman
Tim Hipenbecker President, LHSA

Auction Boutiques
Each year the LHSN and LHSS Mother’s Clubs host vendor parties in order to gather items for the auction. Once again, more than 100 people participated in one or both of the boutiques. As a result of these events, more than 100 items were donated through guest purchases and vendor donations. Thank you to all who organized, participated in, purchased and/or donated through these boutiques! We appreciate your support of the 2015 Auction.

WHISKEY TOUR OF SCOTLAND Take a tour of Scotland on the "Whiskey Trail". Your tour begins off the southeast coast on the Isle of Islay where you will find the Ardberg distillery's 10 year old scotch with a rich peaty flavor. From here, proceed northeast to the small distillery of Deanston and their Virgin Oak expression. Continue further northeast to Glen Garioch, the most eastern distillery in Scotland. Here you'll enjoy their Founder's Reserve, aged in bourbon and sherry casks. Now it's time to head back west to the heart of Speyside for offerings from the distilleries of Glen Rothes (a Special Reserve), Balvenie (a 12 year Doublewood), and Glenfiddich (their new 14 year Bourbon Barrel, exclusively made for American connoisseurs). Travel further west and you enter the Scottish Highlands where you will find the Tomatin distillery and their Cu Boca, a mysterious creation of smoke, bourbon, and sherry aging. Finally, complete your "Whiskey Trail" tour of Scotland by returning to the Isle of Islay where Laphroig distills its classic quarter cask expression aged in small bourbon casks to draw more flavor from the wood.
