Christian education with an international dorm experience For non-local or long commute students

A unique challenge to give you a competitive edge . . . Introduction If you have dreams of attending a top university and pursuing a career that takes advantage of global opportunities, you’re already looking for unique challenges to give you a competitive edge. The Lutheran High School Association of St. Louis, in partnership with Kitebridge, offers the opportunity for nonlocal students or students with a long commute to have the benefit of a Lutheran high school education at one of our two high schools—Lutheran High School North or Lutheran High School South—along with the unique experience of living with international students in a dorm setting. Kitebridge coordinates American educational opportunities for international students. Through an exclusive partnership with the Lutheran High School Association in St. Louis, qualified international students are able to attend Lutheran High School North or Lutheran High School South. Their families pay their tuition and fees and also pay for room and board through Kitebridge. Non-local students or long-commute students may attend Lutheran North or Lutheran South while living with the Kitebridge international students in their adult-supervised dorm, located in central St. Louis. These students will literally become Kitebridge students, interacting with the international students in a supportive, family atmosphere focused on academic success. Non-local students will live full-time at the dorm while students with a long commute may stay at the dorm during the school week, returning home on weekends. The dorm boarding arrangement is available for all four years of high school.

Benefits

About our schools ●

Lutheran High School North and Lutheran High School South are two of the best Christian college-prep schools in the St. Louis region. Within our schools, we understand that each student is a unique and precious gift of God, learning, growing and maturing in different ways.

● Each day we have the opportunity to nurture students in their faith in their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and challenge them academically as future leaders. ●

Two key aspects shape our promise to students and families: preparing students for the next step in their life’s journey and forging relationships in an environment that is directed and nurtured by outstanding Christian leaders and teachers.

Programs, resources, opportunities and exposure to the best teachers allow for students to be prepared for their next step in life, which for the vast majority is college. Consistently 98% of our graduates attend the college or university of their choice. The average ACT score of the top 50% of our students is over 27, compared to the national average of 21. The class of 2013, which had a combined 210 graduates from both schools, was offered in total more than $18 million dollars in scholarships and grants.

Our schools are blessed with an abundance of co-curricular activities and programs including athletics, fine arts, clubs and service opportunities to provide a well-rounded high school experience.
