She’s proud of making a dramatic mid-career change that allows her the flexibility to give 110% in her business and still have the energy to enjoy her husband and two young daughters. Jessie’s husband Erik is the primary caregiver for their two young daughters — putting his career options aside so Jessie could pursue hers. Kim is passionate about encouraging the women to be the best that they can be, as well as about guests feeling welcome and beautiful. Her parents taught her the value of a strong work ethic at a young age, to always take care of the people around you, and always remember to laugh. As part of the Aveda network, Kim’s community service includes the salon raising money for the Puget Sound Keeper Alliance. In her time with Seaport, she’s helped raise approximately $8,000 for this cause.

His business philosophy is “Treat people the way you want to be treated.” Curtis believes that business is about more than just the numbers — it’s the people that matter the most. He also believes leaders don’t ask people to do something that they aren’t willing to do themselves. He and his wife are expecting their first child. He mentors to 3rd and 6th grade students at Woodlands Elementary.
