LEVEL 1 I have a valid motorcycle license, I ride regularly and I’m fairly fit. I’ve hardly ever ventured away from roads before, but I think I’m capable of taking my first steps into offroad terrain. Or I already have some offroad experience and I enjoy riding in easy terrain. I ride for pleasure and don’t want to overextend myself. I can expect to find dirt tracks, mostly easy terrain and single trails, interspersed with a few challenges.

MOTORCYCLES At KTM ADVENTURE TOURS, ALL BRANDS of motorcycle may take part provided they meet the respective demands of our trips and tours. For all those who do not yet own a motorcycle or who simply want to see what it’s like to ride an enduro, we offer the option of renting a KTM at favorable rates on most of our trips and all of our Travel tours. The hire price includes gas; the bikes themselves are well-maintained and fully serviced. Please be sure to enclose a legible copy of your motorcycle driving license when booking a motorcycle!

A VALID MOTORCYCLE DRIVING LICENSE IS REQUIRED AND MUST BE PRESENTED ON ALL ADVENTURE TOURS!

A classic MOTOCROSS CHEST PROTECTOR or protector shirt protects your back, shoulders and upper body. ELBOW GUARDSare also worn and over those a CROSS SHIRT plus, depending on the weather, a gilet or a (waterproof, breathable) jacket. Lined jackets with integrated protectors are less suitable for summer tours in the south.

MOTOCROSS GLOVES are best for offroad riding; gloves made from neoprene are worn in the rain.

LEVEL 3 I ride offroad regularly and I’m pretty fit. I also dare to take on the toughest terrain. I can expect to find rock ledges, ruts, loose rubble, slippery surfaces - also frequently combined with steep ascents or descents. Even some sections that the group can only overcome with team spirit. I can bring along the right amount of courage, cold-bloodedness and a swift riding style.

CROSS PANTS made from synthetic materials are robust, yet lightweight. Hip protectors are recommended. No one goes off-road without KNEE GUARDS. ROBUST (OFFROAD) BOOTS have prevented more than a few foot and ankle injuries. The smooth sole allows you to steady yourself when drifting. Tools and spare parts for fixing the most common breakdowns are carried in the BELT BAG. Two-stroke riders have some oil at hand. Always carry something to drink, your driving license, vehicle documents and some local currency for stops at the local cafe bar. Offroad riding can be very strenuous, which is why overly warm clothing (full-face road helmet, leather pants and jacket) is unvise for summer tours in the south.

PORTUGAL A herd of orange is now invading southern Portugal, where 20 years ago the hippies were letting the days drift by and in 2006, the Dakar Rally passed through. Klaus Kinigadner spends his enduro holiday here, so there must be plenty of nightlife! During the day, we let the sun and the enduro tracks warm us, then at night we enjoy the sunny mood in the bars and clubs. Two different hotels are used for accommodation and we take care of transporting luggage - after all, the EXCs are no beasts of burden; they’re machines made for fun!

GREECE Enduro riding as the whim takes you! A perfect combination of classical holiday flair coupled with panoramic paths, single trails, fantastic gorges and small mountain villages. CYPRUS’ HOT GRAVEL

BULGARIA “Sunny valley” that is the name of the area going along the river Strimon in South-West Bulgaria. With over 300 sunny days per year and average temperatures of 13°C during the winter months this tour is a “dream came true” for enduro riders. The tour tracks are crossing the lower parts of several mountains without heavy snow, but passing through wild springs, waterfalls, ancient ruins, wide ridges and different types of forests. During the tour the riders will discover the beauty of even surreal landscapes and places: “The ancient sandy village” – amazing natural and cultural phenomenon. “The goddess baths” – natural hot mineral baths hidden in the deepest forest. “The sacred springs” – a mystic place where legends for ancient people and gods are inwrought. We will ride in absolute wilderness and good weather, enjoying vivid city life after a hard riding day.

BULGARIA „Wild Strandzha“ is a tour, combining single track mountain riding with an amazing touch of the sea. Strandzha is one of the wildest mountains in Bulgaria, with untouched flora and fauna, up to 1,100 m sealevel. Riding several kilometers along the sea-side Strandza offers variety of tracks, many river crossings and an incredibly wild oak forest path leading to the magnificent view points of the Black Sea. For the enthusiast it is possible to check his/her riding ability on the sand directly on the beach. Accommodated directly on the beach and only few meters from the track, the rider can fully enjoy the mixture of riding and sea-side fun.

CYPRUS Sunny Mediterranean ambience in the middle of winter? When we’re still freezing, it’s already spring in Cyprus. Escape the cold, damp weather in northern and central Europe to enjoy enduro riding in the Greek part of Cyprus. Wonderful dirt roads leading to the deep blue sea and deserted mountain countryside. Taking a break in between in sleepy village tavernas, sampling the delightful Greek cuisine, combined with the enjoyment of a rest day sunbathing, riding jet-skis or diving.

ITALY is an alpine country - above all in Piedmont. Gravel roads and remote mountain meadows lead us into the Maritime Alps, up to a height of 1500 metres. The views of the snow-covered mountain ranges are breathtaking. Following long unused pack mule trails, we fight our way uphill through dark woods and looping through scree fields. enduro alpinism like this has not been possible in German-speaking countries for the last 50 years. We stay overnight in an elegant, family-run 3-star hotel providing typical Piedmont cuisine.

ITALY In the heart of the Apennine Mountains, where the peaks of the Emilia-Romagna, Tuscany and the provinces come together, we escape into a lush green landscape far away from everyday life and explore the hilly and mountainous scenery. Away from any signs of tourism, you can still find a bit of authentic Italy in this region. A tour through the backcountry of the Italian Adria is like traveling back in time: Farm houses and small estates from bygone eras are nestled in a picturesque and ever-changing hill and mountain landscape, ancient forests, carefully tended orchards and wheat fields. The terrain offers faster gravel roads as well as technique-challenging trails, thus meeting the expectations of beginners as well as experienced enduro riders. In the evening, we enjoy excellent Italian cuisine and a glass of Sangiovese or two in the wine cellar at the hotel. Our cozy four-star hotel reflects the typical Italian manor style. It is located 15 km outside of San Marino and Rimini.

SICILY – an exciting island of full of fascinating and diverse routes for enduro riders. With KTM between water and fire: Our starting point is a castle hotel directly by the sea. We ride on fire trails towards Etna, through green forests, past rapid mountain streams and over the lava ash back through parched canyons which end in white sandy beaches. After the tour we can relax at our romantic hotel and on the beach or amuse ourselves in the popular holiday resort of Taormina which is 12 km away.

CZECH REPUBLIC Welcome to the Czech Orange Day, the one-day tour for KTM ADVENTURE TOURS newcomers, returners, busy people and everyone who hates traffic jams. Just two hours’ drive from Munich, you find yourself in a challenging, varied and hilly offroad site with many forests where one single trail crosses the next. CROATIA The picturesque town of Marija Bistrica is not only a famous place of pilgrimage for devout Catholics, it is now also a place for ambitious KTM riders. The reason for the former is the wonder of the statue of the Holy Mother of God. The reason for the latter is the miraculous and breathtaking scenery that surrounds the small town: Many single tracks look like they were man-made as competition routes. The fact that the trails are almost free of stones is quite atypical for Croatia. GERMANY The offroad training track near Leipzig has even inexperienced enduro riders raving. In part of an active opencast mine in the Leipzig region that was made available exclusively for this event, beginners and advanced riders have the opportunity to improve their riding technique. First, instructors make sure that everyone is familiar with the basic principles of enduro riding. We offer a good mix of training units and a prolonged enduro tour over the 20 square kilometer offroad site, which has been specially prepared for enduro riders. Accommodation is available in nearby hotels and a camping site. Please contact us for further advice.

GERMANY Since 2016, we have been training enduro riders – from beginners to professionals – on a training site near Augsburg. Sand tracks and a wood trail provide a wealth of different ascents and descents, varying tightness of bends, sand waves, and minor and major obstacles like stones, roots and tree trunks, some of which beginners can also bypass, should they wish. Our professional instructors first teach you a number of the theoretical principles of enduro riding, according to your ability, which you can then put into practice in exercises and during free enduro riding.

RIDING ABILITY LEVEL The levels serve the purpose of self-assessment and initial orientation.

LEVEL 1 The entire route is on some very twisty asphalt roads which can, however, be easily tackled. You must have at least 5000 km of driving experience.

Keep the throttle wide open – experience the fastest touring enduro on the market and drive with us to the most beautiful streets in Europe!

The whole route is on asphalt roads which can, however, also be very narrow and in bad condition. High mountain passes with very narrow bends may feature. You should ride regularly at home.

One section of the tour runs on dirt roads (fortified gravel roads with changing natural surfaces). Some riding days are very long and physically challenging. You must be a very experienced street rider and have basic knowledge of easy offroad terrain.

High quality MOTORCYCLE GLOVES made from synthetic leather are well suited for use on the road. They should be breathable as well as both wind- and waterproof. In warmer temperatures you can wear lighter gloves without cuffs. Touring BOOTS with safety elements for shins, ankles, heels and toes have prevented quite a few foot and ankle injuries. 100 % waterproof boots are only recommended in Northern Europe.

MIDSUMMER NORWAY Experience the heart of Norwegian nature under the midnight sun. We visit the home of the Vikings in the mountains and fjords of Norway. F irst you will receive an acknowledgement of receipt from RIDE KTM and then, after checking the availability, your tour confirmation along with the invoice and all other important information about the tour you have booked.

3. REQUIREMENTS FOR THE PARTICIPANT: (1) It is possible to participate in trips and travel tours with all motorcycle models and brands that meet the requirements of the respective trips or travel tours! (2) Only persons holding a valid driver’s license at the time of the tour are permitted to participate. (3) The participant is required to wear the respective motorcycle gear required for the tour. It is absolutely mandatory to wear a helmet. (4) If the participant participates in the tour using his own motorcycle, he or she bears the sole responsibility for ensuring the proper technical condition of the bike and that it meets all the legal requirements and those stipulated by the organizer (e.g. off-road tires). Neither the organizer nor the tour guide is responsible for checking that these requirements are fulfilled. Participation with a self-provided motorcycle is only permitted for off-road tours. (5) It shall be at the participant’s own discretion to determine whether his or her skills and ability to complete the specified route are adequate (see motorcyclist skill levels on the inside front cover). Neither the organizer nor the tour guide is responsible for determining and verifying the skills and ability of the participants. 4. MOTORCYCLE RENTAL: (1) KTM motorcycles can be rented for some tours. Motorcycle reservations must be made at the time of registering for the tour. The rented motorcycle may only be used for participating in the booked tour. (2) The rental period shall not be halted if the bike is unusable due a fault caused by the participant’ or their inability to drive. 5. PASSPORT, CUSTOMS, VISA AND VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS: Some tours are operated in countries that have special passport, customs, visa and vaccination requirements. The operator will inform the participant about these requirements via the brochure or in another manner. The participant bears the sole responsibility for fulfilling these requirements, particularly for obtaining any visas or vaccinations. 6. VIOLATION OF TRAFFIC LAWS OR NON-COMPLIANCE WITH THE TOURGUIDE’S INSTRUCTIONS: If the participant significantly disregards the instructions of the tour guide or violates traffic laws, the tour operator may rescind from the agreement and demand the return of the rental motorcycle. In this case, there will be no refund of the tour or rental fees. 7. LIABILITY: (1) The participant participates in the tour at his or her own risk. The liability of Powerride Enduro Tours and/or GA Promotion GmbH and/or Offroad Adventure Tours GmbH and their respective agents due to damages suffered by the participant as

part of the tour is limited to three times the amount of the tour and rental price, if the damages suffered by the participant were not caused intentionally or are due to grossly negligent conduct by Powerride Enduro Tours and/or GA Promotion GmbH and/or Offroad Adventure Tours GmbH and their respective agents or if the organizer is responsible for damages suffered by the participant solely due to the fault of a service provider. The liability limitation shall not apply in case of personal injuries of the participant. (2) The participant must sign a separate declaration of limitation of liability prior to the start of the tour. This limitation of liability is automatically accepted through the registration via the homepage application and does not have to be accepted again separately. In case of a transmission of the registration form via fax or email, the signed liability limitation declaration form must be received by the operator at the same time. This declaration form will be sent to the participant together with the registration form. The participant is aware that without an accepted and/or signed liability waiver, the operators are obligated to exclude the respective participant from participating in the tour. (3) The liability of Powerride Enduro Tours and/or GA Promotion GmbH and/or Offroad Adventure Tours GmbH or the tour guide excludes any property damage and personal injuries caused by the participant to the extent that such is not covered by a statutory liability insurance policy. In any case, the liability is limited to the scope of the insurance coverage of the liability insurance policy covering the specific incident. In this case, the participant shall hold Powerride Enduro Tours and/or GA Promotion GmbH and/or Offroad Adventure Tours GmbH and the tour guide harmless from any damage claims and legal action. (4) It is strongly recommended that the participant acquires respective insurance policies, such as cancellation and repatriation insurance. 8. PAYMENT: (1) A 40% deposit must be paid within 2 weeks upon receipt of the invoice. The remaining invoice amount is payable no later than 4 weeks prior to the start of the tour. (2) When paying by credit card, the total amount will be charged at the time the invoice is issued. Any potential bank fees shall be borne by the credit card holder. (3) In case of a total amount of less than €500, the total amount must be paid within 2 weeks of receiving the invoice. 9. CANCELLATION AND AGREEMENT TRANSFER: (1) The registering party has the right to cancel the agreement at any time. If the registered party cancels, the following cancellation fees will be charged in lieu of the tour price: – 20% of the tour and rental price in the event of a registration cancellation up to 8 weeks prior to the start of the tour, – 50% of the tour and rental price in the event of a registration cancellation between 8 and 4 weeks prior to the start of the tour, – 85% of the tour and rental price in the event of a registration cancellation later than 4 weeks prior to the start of the tour or no-show without cancellation notification. The cancellation must be submitted in writing either via registered mail, via fax or via email and must be confirmed in writing by the operator via mail, via fax or via email to be deemed accepted. The due dates stated above refer to receipt of the cancellation notification by the operator. The operator shall be entitled to offset the cancellation fee against already received participation payments. In all other cases, the already received participation fees shall be refunded. Services that are not utilized by the participant on site are non-refundable. It is strongly recommended that the participant acquires a cancellation insurance. (2) The participant may transfer the contractual relationship to another person, as long as all requirements for participation are met and the organizer has been notified of the transfer within an appropriate period of time prior to the departure date. The transferring party and the new participant are jointly liable for the outstanding final payment as well as for the assignment of arising additional costs if applicable. Airline tickets that have already been issued cannot be transferred. Special conditions apply for various services, such as for example ticket reservations.

10. TOUR CANCELLATION: (1) The operator reserves the right to reschedule or completely cancel the tour at any time for important reasons. In addition, the operator may cancel the tour up to one week prior to the start of the tour if the minimum number of participants has not been reached. The participant will be notified immediately via mail, email or via telephone. (2) In case of a delay or the cancellation of the tour, the participant has the right to request a refund of the participation price or the participation in a different tour of the operator with equal value, if this does not generate a disproportionately high expense for the operator. (3) Third-party services that are not directly related to the reservation with Powerride Enduro Tours and/or GA Promotion GmbH and/or Offroad Adventure Tours GmbH cannot be refunded. 11. INVALIDITY: The Invalidity of individual provisions of these travel and rental conditions will not result in the invalidity of the other provisions or the tour and (rental) agreement.
