Imaging Multifinger Caliper

Pioneer Wireline Services uses the latest in high resolution Multifinger Caliper tool (MFC). The MFC gathers information on internal casing condition and identifies damage and wear to the casing.

2 7/8’’

3 1/2’’

On-Site Results Customers have the option to receive on-site 3-D images of log data. The 3-D images can be provided on hard copy or on a CD which allows us to process logging data output to customer’s specifications.

Multifinger Caliper Log The MFC sends an I.D. image (one output for each finger) plus additional curves: deviation and relative bearing for orientation and control curves such as cablehead voltage and temperature. In addition, there are calculated curves derived from the image: Average I.D., Maximum I.D. and Minimum I.D.

Advantages  Individual measuring fingers detect metal loss of  

LOGGING SERVICES

 COMPLETION LOGGING

Radial Cement Bond Tool

Radial Bond Cement Bond Tool is designed to deliver real time complete bond analysis in a single logging pass and utilizes eight radially distributed crystal receivers at two-foot spacing, for full 360° radial measurements. The RBT radial measurement identifies potential channeling, void areas around the casing, and inadequate bonding that may be undetectable with standard amplitude averaging instruments. The RBT simultaneously records conventional three-foot amplitude and travel time with a five-foot receiver for full waveform presentation. The 360° sectored evaluation saves the time and expense of unnecessary remedial cementing by identifying isolated intervals of good cement that would allow for adequate zone isolation.

Advantages

 Microannulus detection  Determine zone isolation  360° cement map presentation for complete

channel detection  Dual crystal receivers – near (3 ft) and far (5 ft)  Platinum resistance temperature probe provides

continuous temperature plot  Full waveforms are saved and can be reprocessed 

with either VDL or signature presentation An optional Neutron log is available

LOGGING SERVICES

 PRODUCTION LOGGING

Noise Temp Tool

Noise Detector Tool is an extremely sensitive hydrophone which is highly effective in detecting flow outside the pipe, mechanical leaks, and production intervals. A recording is made of the noise levels throughout the borehole and analyzed at surface. The noise spectrum is broken down into six frequency ranges using high pass filters, and the peak amplitude in each range is displayed on the log. Analysis of noise levels and frequencies can reveal the source, the flow path, and differentiate between single or multy phase flow. The noise tool may be run alone or in combination with the temperature tool. Valuable information during drilling operations in determining thief zones and areas of lost circulation can be identified when the noise log is merged with the temperature log data providing one easy-to-interpret presentation.

LOGGING SERVICES

 PRODUCTION LOGGING

RA Tracer Tool

The Radioactive Tracer Tool utilizes a down-hole fluid ejector, a collar locator, and two Geiger gamma ray detectors. Radioactive material (i.e. I-31) is loaded into ejector section of the tool at surface. This material is then released down-hole at selected intervals in “slugs”. Fluid is then pumped into the well. The “slugs” are recorded as they move to calculate velocities, find channeling behind pipe, or verify movement at plugs and perforations. Time versus distance measurements between the two detectors provides accurate flow profiles and verification of up-hole or down-hole movement. Merging of all the individual logs passing into one display provides an easy to interpret presentation.

Advantages

 Identify production intervals  Indicate channeling or flow behind pipe  Help calculate flow rates  Confirm if a plug is holding and/or other mechanical  

HIGH TEMP TOOLS

Gamma Ray Neutron

Gamma Ray Neutron logging tools allow for accurate correlation of the depth between open-hole and cased hole measurements. A standard API gamma ray-CCL-neutron log is produced and correlated to the original open-hole log or any previously recorded cased hole gamma ray or neutron log. GR-N tools can be used for determining shale volume calculation and fluid/gas contact identification. Pioneer Wireline Services offers a range of gamma ray neutron logging tools to meet a variety of down-hole conditions. If required, this tool may be run stand-alone or in combination with the radial bond and dual receiver CBL services.

Advantages

 Provides best possible cased hole to open hole

HIGH TEMP TOOLS

Gun Gamma

Gun Gamma logging tools allow correlation of perforating guns, plugs, packers, and other down-hole devices that require exact depth correlations between open-hole and cased-hole measurements. A standard API gamma ray-CCL log is produced and correlated to the original openhole log or any previously recorded cased-hole gamma ray log. GR logs can be used to determine the location of radioactive tracers. Pioneer Wireline Services offers a wide range of gamma gun tools to meet any customer needs. The gamma gun may be adapted to a wide range of setting tool devices and perforating devices. These tools incorporated the safest firing systems available to the industry today.

Advantages

 Reduces rig time by simultaneously recording data

in a single logging pass in conjunction with a wide range of setting tools and perforating devices.  Positive depth correlation

PERFORATING

Tubing Conveyed Perforating

Pioneer Wireline Services offers Tubing Conveyed Perforating (TCP) products and services in all regions of operation. Using the safest, highest quality, and most reliable gun systems, our personnel provide expert service in all areas of tubing conveyed perforating.

Advantages

 Improved perforation efficiency. TCP permits





operations at substantially higher underbalanced pressure differentials to ensure better perforation clean up. Use of large-diameter, multi-phased casing guns increase perforation depth and diameter, resulting in a perforation with the minimum restriction and higher productivity. Cost efficiency. Since TCP perforates long intervals in a single trip, substantial rig cost savings are realized. Also maximum perforation cleaningwhen perforating underbalanced-can only be achieved by perforating the entire zone at one time. TCP allows maximum potential to be obtained from perforation, decreasing stimulation costs. Since pressure control equipment can be installed prior to perforating , kill fluid costs also are reduced. Safety. TCP assemblies-essentially large casing guns-safely and efficiently protect personnel and equipment. With TCP there are no electronically detonated blasting caps in the system, which means no premature or accidental firing due to stray electrical currents.
