War and Peace in Medals: In eLive Auction 33)on February 11th, 2015 the Vollrath Collection – “War and Peace in Medals” will be auctioned. Vollrath Collection was dedicated to the era of the French Revolution and the Napoleonic era up to the time of the Congress of Vienna. Of the 780 medallions, a large share can be traced back to older collections, above all the Julius Collection. The other pieces of the Julius Collection were sold in 1958 by Richard Gaettens Jr. in Heidelberg, Germany.
