Durable Companions When used outdoors, rough handling of the optical device must always be expected. Carl Zeiss lens systems are designed for strenuous use. The same applies to the body and non-sensitive surfaces. Furthermore, nearly every unit in the new generation is filled with nitrogen to eliminate fogging. ZEISS binoculars and spotting scopes are lightweight, compact and extremely durable. Their long life and resilient performance make them very reliable companions.
Skilled Craftsmanship and Optical Harmony It is the emotional factors which extend the value of ZEISS optics far beyond the technical specifications. Perfected ergonomics, design elegance and comfortable handling make comfort a visible and tangible experience. Surfaces are easy to grip wherever secure hand contact is required. The superior workmanship can be felt in the smooth and high-precision operating elements. To ensure this fine-tuned quality, much of the final assembly is completed by hand.

Protective Layer for Clear Vision T he LotuTec ® coating
Clear Vision at All Times As with the surface of the lotus leaf, the LotuTec® coating on objective and ocular lenses ensures that the water is repelled immediately and without residue. Thus dirt, grease and fingerprints can easily be removed with no risk of damaging the high quality lens. Maintaining optical devices with LotuTec® is extremely effortless. Brilliant Viewing in all Weather Conditions Carl Zeiss has brought the experience of an impeccable view to perfection – regardless of the weather. Even in heavy rain LotuTec® coating guarantees a perfect vision.
All products of the Victory line feature the LotuTec® lens coating.

Safe Shooting over Long Distances
T h e Innovative ASV (Bul le t Drop Compensation feature) by Carl Zeiss
Accurate Aiming Precise Adjustment of the Shooting Distance “Holding over“ with shooting distances exceeding the zeroing range often is based on estimation and makes it difficult to accurately hit the target. Aiming exactly at the point where the shot is supposed to hit the target results in the most accurate shot. Thus the ASV provides maximum accuracy – even over longer distances. 300 m shot without ASV
300 m shot with ASV
Operating the ASV is particularly easy and quick. The handy ASV ring is positioned on top of the riflescope‘s turret. The de sired position is adjusted by pulling out the ring and twisting it with precise clicks. Depending on the riflescope model, every click changes the elevation adjustment of the target point by one centimetre on 100 metres. Once the hunter wants to shoot the regular distance again, the ASV can simply be returned to zero – thanks to the locking mechanism he can do this blindly.
The ASV is adjusted by pulling out, twisting and pushing down the ASV ring. Thanks to the secure locking of the ring, the ASV is protected against unintentional adjustment.
40
D
Controlled shooting with every load even over long distances: The Bullet Drop Compensation (ASV) feature by Carl Zeiss offers the possibility to exactly adjust the target distance – quickly and easily, immediately before the shot. The ASV is an important tool for those shooting regularly on long ranges. It is also especially helpful to hunters preferring full-metal jacket ammunition.

ZEISS Binoculars
Flexibility Comfortable Eyepiece ZEISS binoculars provide an exceptionally large field of view for observers with or without glasses. The soft, comfortable eye cups can be unscrewed and locked in safely. Intermediate settings lock securely. Once locked, they cannot be pushed in accidentally.
Practical Strength Light, Robust and Waterproof The housing of the binoculars consists of light aluminium and reinforced high-performance polyamide, 60 % of which is glass fibre, making the body extremely impact resistant. The waterproof and dustproof design, combined with the nitrogen filling that eliminates fogging on the inside, ensures that the binoculars stand up to extreme conditions. The durable rubber armour is shock and noise absorbing. Dirt can easily be removed. 48

All-Purpose Binoculars Lens Diameter 40 – 45 mm For the hunter who is looking for a powerful all-rounder, allpurpose binoculars provide the perfect balance between handy design and high transmission values. They are destined for active hunting in terms of weight and size. At the same time, they provide the best conditions for observation in any light – even in twilight.
Compact Binoculars Lens Diameter 30 – 35 mm For physically demanding hunting pursuits, when every gram of equipment counts and luggage volume is restricted. Compact binoculars are up to 300 grams lighter than all-purpose 50
binoculars.
Magnification
The first, smaller figure in the model reference specifies the magnification factor. For all-purpose hunting use, a factor of 7 –10 x is ideal. The greater the magnification, the better suited the binoculars are for detailed observation over long distances. However, with this, the image steadiness and the size of the field of view are reduced. Good view, steady image: At 8 x magnification the field of view is wider and shaking is reduced to a minimum.
As close as it gets: At 10 x magnification the smallest detail is seen and the image section decreases.
Image brightness fades with daylight: Smaller lenses offer a lower twilight performance.
Image brilliance even at twilight: Large lenses intensify the last daylight and may even be used for observation at nighttime.
Lens Diameter
The second figure in the model reference specifies the lens diameter. The bigger it is, the brighter the image and twilight performance. Of course, the overall external size and weight of the binoculars increase with large, powerful lenses.

All Competences in One Hand Key Functions Combined for the First Time 1. High-Performance Optics 2. Laser Rangefinder 3. Ballistic Information System BIS 速 Carl Zeiss rangefinders provide hunters with all capacities relevant to success. Both the RF, also popular as premium binoculars, as well as the monocular PRF feature three key functions in a compact unit: powerful optical performance, precise Lightning-fast measurements up to a distance of 1,200 metres. rangefinding and determination of the correct holdover point.
Aim, Measure, Shoot A Quick Succession of Precise Reactions The rangefinder concept by Carl Zeiss forms a unique combination of speed and accuracy: when pressing the rangefinder button the reticle lights up so that the target can be sighted. After releasing the button, measuring is effected. The measured distance is displayed in the field of view of the optics by a selfilluminating LED display. When holding the rangefinder button down for more than 3 seconds, scan mode is activated autoAfter the distance is displayed, H 23 appears. The hunter must aim 23 cm over the aiming point on the target.
