I've written three history books and several thousand articles (and/or served as business editor) for such newspapers as The Philadelphia Inquirer, The Philadelphia Tribune, The Miami News, The Miami Courier, The Fort Lauderdale and Sun Sentinel News, The Daily Local News, The Delaware County Times, The Times Chronicle and The Philadelphia Bulletin. I've also written for such national and global magazines as England's National Archives' publication, Ancestors; Wharton, Pennsylvania Civil War 150.com, America's Civil War, Everton's Family History, www.Afrigeneas.com and American Visions. I've contributed seven extensive scholarly articles concerning African-American colonial, Civil War and Reconstruction history to two anthology encyclopedia projects, including the African American National Biography, edited by Henry Louis Gates, Jr and Evelyn Higginbotham of Harvard University and Oxford University Press; the Encyclopedia of Jim Crow, a Houghton-Mifflin publication.
