SANJAY LAKE (URBAN DESIGN) Mayur vihar, New Delhi
A redevlopment project of presincts of a dull hidden massive lake in mayur vihar.Sanjay lake has lost its beauty and importance with time, though being in the central-eastern area of Delhi. The agenda of this project was to develop and improve the region in its neighborhood, as the park around the lake is subjected to develop into a leisure recreational hub. The lake covers Mayur Vihar RWA Flats and is spread across 2km of length. the design approach was aimed to improve the public realm system by realizing the importance of the unerutilized open spaces and accordingly intervening them.

PREFABRICATED STRUCTURES Prefabrication is the practice of assembling components of a structure in a factory or other manufacturing site. and transporting complete assemblies or sub-assemblies to the construction site where the structure is to be located. The assignment was to design a Structure for a sports facility. using modular techniques to achieve a long-span-columnless space. For this. I used steel for structure, which was bolted onto the casted foundation, pitched roof with provision Of daylight from the north direction and cladded with GI sheets. The walls were made from sandwiched rockwool panels which provided insulation from heat and noise from outside.
ALTERNATIVE SPACES Annual NASA design competition
The objective was to identify an abandoned public space, that has the potential to be a vibrant urban social space, and evolve a design for “Alternatives spaces that transforms the abandoned public space. The competition includes real-life construction of the intervention in a sustainable, budget affordable and versatile perspective, and finally video documenting the transformed space. The competition supported multiple entries, hence, two sites in New Delhi were intervened with very different audience and respective solutions. This helped to explore different approaches and perspectives.
