4EAT Differential Lock Subaru Automatic Transmission Diff Lock and Switch Assembly Figure: Duty C Solenoid Bypass Module

In older model, four cylinder Subarus, with automatic transmissions, the Transmission Control Module (TCM) attempts to intelligently divide torque based on traction needs. This transmission modification allows a driver to turn off variable AWD, forcing a full time 50/50 torque split. This option is ideal for snow and heavy mud applications, as well as emergency situations, such as a broken front CV axel. Components: •

OpenTopic | Bypass Module Assembly Preperation | 5

Bypass Module Assembly Preperation Begin by confirming that the resistors are working properly: 1. Set Multimeter to Impedence (#) setting, 2. Touch Red and Black Multimeter Probes to opposite leds of each resistor, 3. Confirm that Multimeter readings correspond to Resistor ratings. Once you have confirmed that each resistor is working proplerly, you may begin assembling the Bypas Module.
