La madera que utilizamos para los núcleos se almacena hasta que alcanza el punto de humedad óptimo antes de su manipulación. De este modo, los núcleos absorben la cantidad ideal de resina epoxi y soportan mejor las altas presiones y temperaturas a las que se ven sometidos en el prensado.

Before manipulation, the wood used for building the core is stored until it has reached the optimal moisture point. This way, the core absorbs the perfect quantity needed of epoxy resin and withstands the high pressures and temperatures that occur during the pressing process.

Núcleo Laminado Combinación de láminas de madera de haya y álamo, dispuestas verticalmente para aprovechar al máximo las propiedades mecánicas de cada una. Son dos maderas semiduras; el álamo ligero y flexible y el haya uniforme y resistente.

Laminated core The laminated core features beech and poplar wood which are both semi-hardwood; ash is flexible and light, and beech is uniform and resistant. They are vertically combined in a way to get the most out of each one.

PolyFly Es un compuesto de poliuretano perfectamente estable que proporciona ligereza y excelentes características de amortiguación.

PolyFly This polyurethane composite reduces weight and increases rigidity offering excellent shock absorption.

SUELAS UHM Graphite Race Base Suela grafitada fabricada con Polietileno de Ultra Alto Peso Molecular. Preparada para una excelente absorción de cera, garantiza un deslizamiento perfecto. La utilizamos para los esquís de altas prestaciones. Requiere mantenimiento y el uso de cera para optimizar la capacidad de deslizamiento. HM Graphite Base Suela grafitada fabricada con Polietileno de Alto Peso Molecular para esquís deportivos. La base contiene altas cantidades de aditivos que aseguran la absorción de cera y un buen deslizamiento. Para mantener sus propiedades requiere un encerado frecuente. Extruded Base Incluso con un mínimo cuidado, esta suela mantiene sus cualidades durante mucho tiempo lo que garantiza el máximo confort.

BASES UHM Graphite Race Base Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene base with graphite. It is excellent for wax absorption and guarantees perfect gliding. It is used for top-nocht skis. It requires maintenance and the use of wax to optimize its gliding properties. HM Graphite Base High molecular weight polyethylene base with graphite. It is used for racing skis. This base contains a high number of additives that absorb the wax and ensure a soft gliding. Frequent waxing is required to optimize its gliding properties. HM Extruded Base It requires minimal maintenance to keep its qualities for a long time, assuring maximum comfort.

42 REFUERZOS Fibra de vidrio Combinamos diferentes tipos de fibra de vidrio (uniaxial, biaxial y triaxial) para conseguir en cada caso el nivel de exigencia requerido. Si el núcleo es el corazón del esquí, la fibra de vidrio es su esqueleto. Fibra de carbono Sustituta de la fibra de vidrio, es mucho más rígida y ligera. Se utiliza puntualmente en los modelos de la gama race para modificar su patrón de flexión y torsión. Titanal plate® Titanal plate® es una placa de alta resistencia forjada por aleación de aluminio y otros materiales. La rigidez a torsión aumenta considerablemente procurando gran estabilidad. Gracias a sus características únicas, se ha convertido en el estándar de la industria cuando buscamos altas prestaciones.

Cantos de acero Extruidos con una geometría específica para evitar delaminaciones, los cantos de acero soportan tanto afilados continuos para competición como horas y horas de cajones y rails sin perder sus características originales.

REINFORCEMENTS Fiberglass We combine different types of fiberglass (uniaxial, biaxial and triaxial) to ensure the best quality. If the heart of the ski is the core, fiberglass is its skeleton. Carbon fiber A substitute of fiberglass, carbon fiber is much lighter and more rigid. It is used in our race models to modify its flex and torsion pattern. Titanal plate® Titanal plate® is a high-strength, age hardenable aluminum-wrought alloy. It increases torsional rigidity providing great stability. Its unique properties make it the best on the market. Steel edges Extruded with a specific geometry to avoid delamination, steel edges bear continuous sharpening for racing, as well as hundreds of hours of boxes and rails without losing its original properties.

SISTEMA DE CONSTRUCCIÓN

Construcción Sandwich Este método consiste en superponer capas de diferentes materiales, quedando el núcleo en el centro y resultando las mismas capas y en el mismo orden por encima y por debajo del mismo. Es muy identificable en esquís que tienen sidewalls o, laterales, para proteger el núcleo interno. Las capas se adhieren entre sí con resinas epoxi a altas temperaturas tras un tiempo de curado. Construcción Semicap Utilizamos lo mejor de la tecnología sandwich y cap. El método consiste en utilizar un molde superior que se adapta a la geometría del esquí. De esta manera, eliminamos la arista superior del lateral, garantizando mayor durabilidad y asegurando la transmisión óptima de potencia al canto. Esta tecnología está especialmente indicada para esquís sometidos a uso intenso, como nuestros esquís de Park. Construcción Cap o Monocasco En este método el mismo material de la superficie del esquí sirve de estructura. Construimos una estructura 3D que contribuye a la rigidez torsional total de los esquís y a una mejor aerodinámica. El material utilizado es un polímero especial que ofrece excelentes características de amortiguación, reforzado mediante una combinación de diferentes tipos de fibra de vidrio.

CONSTRUCTION TECHNIQUES Sandwich construction This technique consists of placing different layers of different materials one on top of the other, while keeping the core in the center. It is clearly identifiable in skis with sidewalls. These layers bond with epoxy resin at high temperatures and are left to cure. Half-cap construction We combine the best of sandwich and cap technology by using a topsheet that fits perfectly into the ski’s geometry. By getting rid of the upper edge of the sidewall we guarantee longer durability and assure the perfect transmission of power to the sidewall. This kind of technology is best for skis that are exposed to heavy use, such as our park skis. Cap construction This technique uses the same materials in the topsheet of the ski as well as in its structure. We build a 3D structure that contributes to the total torsional rigidity of the skis and better aerodynamics. The material used is a special polymer that offers excellent characteristics for shock absorption and is reinforced with a combination of different types of fiberglass
