Ta (T)

In Egyptian language, Ta means "land." The Arabic letter Ta ("T") symbolizes the eventual materialization of the oneness of the Ba. The two dots

represent duality, the main feature of all things material.

Although Ta means land (i.e., matter), the Ta doesn't represent matter as much as it does the idea of materialization via polarities (the two dots). Those two dots represent female ovaries (potential for birth) as well as the pineal and pituitary glands. As a mantra "Tam" is a petal letter of the heart chakra and it promotes healing. Both the Ta and Tha correspond, like the Ba, to the Bow pose in yoga.

Tha (Th)

?

The next Arabic letter, the Tha (Th) is an extension of the Ta, but three glands are now represented (thalamus, pituitary and pineal). The Ta's duality (brought on by the self-awareness of Alif - "I am" - and Ba) is resolved in a three-dimensional reality: past, present, future: width, height, volume, etc. Arabic has no letter "P." so Ba, Ta and Tha actually symbolize divine building or fashioning metaphorized as the god Ptah (the P becomes a B in Arabic). This fashioning and building is still not materialistic as such. It is archetypal building, ideation fashioning. In some dialects, Tha is pronounced "Sa." Sa is archetypal consciousness in Egyptian spirituality. Participation in the illusion of three dimensions actually makes awareness possible. This three-dimensionality is where the Ba (One World Soul) was headed and thus the Tarot

card for the Ba is the Magician (maya wonder-worker). Its planetary significator is Mercury because it is from the Ba level that God "speaks" everything into existence. But the tongue is a "two-edged sword," so Ba's very act of speaking generates primeval yin-yang duality, i.e., the Ta. The twoness of Ta ever seeks refusion, but that being now impossible, settles for a kind of synthesis (Father-Mother-Child) in the Tha. Through the constant energetic exchanges (creation (Brahma), Destruction (Shiva) and Preservation (Vishnu)), continuation of existence is guaranteed. The eternal nature of the one being and all its infinite apparent parts is symbolized by the He.
