The actions that contribute to creating places displace. As people, materials and things move and are moved around other people, materials and things are moved, dislodged, eroded, shifted, nudged... and displaced. Considering the many actions of placement and displacement, I design an uninterrupted pedestrian connection between Heron Keys DLR and the Canary Wharf Tube using only materials that exist in Canary Wharf. The space between station form a busy commuter connection between two strategic mass transport systems. pedestrians struggle navigate many steps, bollards, planters, roadways, post-boxes, events and each other in order to navigate from one station to another. My proposal is going to prioritise pedestrian movement over other forms of movement and work only with materials that are from around the Canary Wharf site.

To make ideal park, the main concept is the varying landscape view in park. The fabric has the characteristics as the flexible, tension, colour, and movement. It is possible to make various views at same locationGlastonbury Fes Christo and Jeanne-Claude, with fabric’s features . One reference shows the fabric lift up for special Umbrellas, Japan/USA, 1984-1991 atmosphere. This reference shows the flexible and movement character. It make the continuously changing shadow. Another reference shows the various colour at same pattern and area. It is the aerial photo about Glastonbury Festival in UK. Those various colour tents reflect the festival mood. The design concept use the fabric roof on site for Christo and Jeanne-Claude, making special scene with the displacement of the tent’s fabric after The Gate, USA, 2005 festival. People could feel the festival and varying image in the park.

The terrace concept is from two different types of grass slopes on the site. One is artificial grass slope in waterfront area. Another area Glastonbury UK park and farm. The deis the natural form grass hill in the Festival, Mudchute sign concept is to make the artificial platform with the displacement of the soil using caving and filling on the ground. The reference shows how people could make the slope to other utilization. The terrace could make the ground from mountain to cultivate ground and show the special view reflection with different angle of sky. Following this idea. The terrace ideal could make potential ground for people. And the Mudchute park located nearby the dock, but it is unable to enjoy the waterscape in park. Therefore, water will keep in some of the platform to enjoy the water view and reflection of roof.

Invisible Shore Dissertation and Design project for MArch Urban Design Bartlett School of Architecture , University College 2014 Collaborative Work with Chen Shao, Isabel Gutierrez and Jun Han The supervision of Adrian Lahoud and Sam Jacoby The applicant participated in all of the design process as team member and participate all of the digital images presented in this portfolio.
This project is concerned with agrarian and industrial reform in the North of Africa. We first identify four areas with potential for reform in Libya: the water infrastructure, manufacturing, textile and food production industry. We recognize each of them represents an agriculture, a specific social organization. We suggest that each social organization could be understood through its typical form and the economic and the technical protocols that belong to it. If this is true, by proposing new spaces, we also propose a reform of social relations. Our proposed urban settlement takes the proposed water infrastructure that is a part of the Great Man Made River Project as the first motor for the agrarian and industrial revolution. It starts with the creation of agricultural fields and opens up the possibilities for other industrial activities such as the food processing and textile manufacturing. We intend to develop a strong relation between work, living and shared spaces in what we call “Clusters”. The resultant urban plan is, therefore, based on the idea of clustering, which di can be observed at different scales. The city is organized around agricultural fields. Growing economic activity in Libya and forming a cluster of cells, with individual cell having a different formal called ‘Ring-typology’. Together these form an ‘Urban block’, within each block and at architectural scale another clustering occurs, a clustering of building with different functional typologies that enable the coming together of diverse constituencies.
Continent research and Mapping
The climate change is affecting the condition of Africa. This includes it´s temperature, precipitation and fresh water storage all of which is expected to change dramatically in the next decades, causing a great impact on the social vulnerability, the soil conditions and the agriculture development. In spade of the hostile environments, the shortage of natural resource is also a hidden trouble of creating social conflict. Africa continent has a dominant dry climate due to the harsh presence of the Sahara dessert and has a low existence of water on the surface; even if, it has great amount of ground water existing underground whose boundary, when we cut a section of 100 metres below the Africa’s surface, we claimed as our invisible shore. This water resource, if it could be exploited properly, has the potential to reshape the future of country and the entire continent.
Territory research and Mapping
Libya has the most productive groundwater basin in Africa continent. Allows it to have over a thousand water drills along the pipeline route of the Great Man-Made River. The project is constructed across 5.5 thousand kilometres pipes and brought 6.5 million m3 of water per day from the underground aquifers of ‘Saharan desert’ to the urban areas of Libya, which are mainly located along the Mediterranean shore. The GMMR is supplying over 90% of the total water usage in Libya, and most of which is used for agriculture use. The GMMR is projected into 5 phases, 3 of which have been completed, and remains will be finished by 2020. Benefits from this project, the development of a new system of intensive agriculture has been developed both in the Sahara desert and coastal regions of Libya, Which we regard as the second potential of our project.
Existing Agricultural Form, Water Reservor research Two of the elements we develop have a defined shape, that of a circle. The agricultural croplands that have this shape respond to the effective radial irrigation system and a governmental management of the land, they contain a social organisation in which the land is worked by a labour force that have no boundary to it and is working for a defined salary. The water reservoirs of ‘the GMMR’ have also a circular shape, being this the effective shape for its construction and water storage we have decided to project it as a circle for the proposal.
Clustering of typologies
Building shape: the ring The site of our proposal is on the 5th phase of the GMMR, agrarian fields are irrigated by the water from GMMR with a pivot system. According to the technical requirement of pivot system, the diameter of each circular field should be around 800 - 1000m, this is a distance which allows pump system to work effectively and reduce the waste of water. Based on the idea of the potentials that are part of the typological programs we created a conceptual strategy, which work around the definition of a cluster containing elements with a strong functional relation.This is a natural formation of what we can call “clusters” which are agglomeration of the typologies that work together and complement individual inside of an urban form.This can be applied at an architectural scale and an urban scale. In order to create a cluster system for the urban area, we set up a concept; starting from the circular form of the huge agricultural fields with a pivot irrigation system. In addition, the presence of water is an important element in the diagram; it allow for the creation of microclimate and the supply for its surroundings, moreover, it will be located along the 3 main belts.
The circular geometry layout of the typical plan is responding the idea of the cluster in the urban scale and as a conceptual first idea we stablish each circular boundary would contain a building in a ring, where the central void part of it allows an efficient ventilation of the building block and creating an internal public area, which could be understood as a representation of the commonly usage in Islamic architecture court yard. Even so, this space in the centre has the possibility of being more than a court yard; it could contain, depending on its size and location. The circular boundaries with the integration of the ring building can also respond to the cluster idea generating links and connections between them by breaking and cutting the ring. They can also be united by the excess space.

The first step is the distribution of agricultural fields. The script locate 3 ideal flat areas for them, which turned out in the definition of three urban clusters with agriculture as the center. The first rings are the food industry, which are connected to the agricultural fields. This relationship is accentuated with gaps in the two types of rings. Following we have allocated the textile industry manufacture, which will, along with the agriculture and food industry constituted the economic zone of the urban area. A special characteristic of this typology is that the buildings are, in some case, unified with and the outside connectivity ring. This is to show a potential way to unify 2 blocks if necessary. The allocation of the water reservoirs is also a very important step. They are spred the whole territory because the presence is required close to all of the typologies. As one of central element, it also creates a smaller scale clustering possible of different typologies are surrounding this big water pools. The housing, on the edges and areas with more topologies, develops in smaller circles and in an architectural scale will have to deal with more dynamic ground level due to the slopes. In the same way we establish that the industries could be united by the ring, the house typology could be connected through a unifying element. To unify the 3 clusters and the existing urban, we need a strong shared element, which is given by the topography itself. A big public area is proposed from the south part of the territory all the way to the Mediterranean Sea. All the main roads in the master plan are connected through this central public area. In this plan we can also appreciate the in between or shared space.
Architecture design - Industrial ring
This building type is conformed by 2 circles of the same usage with different typology. The function of circles are both for industrial factories, therefore, their function is highly connected. The two factory buildings stage on the north slope. With the adjustment of climate, the building design for considering of the wind condition at the summer when the wind blows from North with dry and high temperature, using water reserviour. The wind come in the centre circle from north direction, and goes out following the building shape with changing condition. The wind goes to another small building that building is pie form with two strong wind road and the centre part do not close wall for wind road. This building use 2 different structures, one is circular structure for support floors and dia-grid system for exteral surface. And the small building uses arch-bim strcuture. In addition, those two buildings connect as 3 different levels to slove the topography.

Uni-City Public Park in Changwon City Profossional Works at Kunhwa Engineering & co, 2015 Collaborative Work with Samsung landscape design group The applicant participated in all of the design process as Landscape architect and participate all of the digital images presented in this portfolio. This project is the public parks for a new town project in Chanwon City called UNI-CITY. Changwon City is one of the fast growing city in Korea. The site, which was an army base, will be designed apartment houses. Total site area is 809,440m2 and the park is 309,374m2. There are 3 main parks and 9 fields. The main design is based on the connection other area as wave Concept.

The Danginlee thermal power station was considered as pollution and unpleasant facilities, avoiding approach. There are some characteristic like power station that are closing and blocking area. Furthermore, facilities of industrial period made concrete, cement and, steel-frame structure were not used by people nowadays. Moreover, citizens cannot use this area as concrete and steel-frame structures, which are made on industrialization period. People want entirely difference area and landscape like post-industrialism, open-space.

To conservate plant buildings, I suggest an art factory. There are several equipments to operate power plant in the buildings. Buildings are changed the spot which has a characterlistic of original images. The plan is to keep the builing’s outer wall and indoor facilities. In the building, there are some space to support culture activities such as making and selling design products for helping that. The exhibition centres are made in the ground floor for accepting several culture waves. The cafe for looking at landscape views is constructed the 4th floor, and other floors are made of creative studio, exhibition area as well as shop. Additionally, I plan to make airwalk to re-move difference of floor between the 4th and 5th plant. Hence, people could walk without division plants are builded connectting routes to improve the relative accessibility making the spot not to sever in the past, but to relate culture space.

The Changdeokgung Palace complex is one of The World Heritage and the palace to stay the longest period by the kings in Korea. And there is a sizable backgarden called Huwon. The project site is located on the north of Buyongji in the Changdeokgung Palace back garden. Those are the king’s wells discovered when administrator repair surroundings and nearby flower stair. There are some imformation of these king’s well in ‘Donggwoldo (Painting of a panoramic view for
Changdeokgung and Changgyeonggung Palaces)’ and ‘The history book of Palace’.

To based Donggwoldo, we designed land and flower stair to relate surrounding. Flower stairs are built a quickset door for restoring a part of stairs. We plan king’s well restored following history letter and map. Furthermore, land around of well is made on flat level.

As making difference and attracting people, I design booth made open-wall of three side. Making partition, which Original IDEA team design, are used to make 3-side wall. General booth consists of 3-side walls and 1-side enterence and the wall like plastic or wooden usually block out sight of people. While those wall is strong, people who are in a booth can feel cramp and others who are out of a booth can not know what products are displayed. Therefore, I design that booth wall is made of sight materials. A wall involving gap has advatage of both glass and closed mater. People who is in a booth enjoy to view display without cramp.
