WKO (Watoto Kenya) operates in Kilifi County, mostly in Malindi sub location.

WKO focuses on 4 main sector:

1. Child protection : WKO has been operating a children's home for the last 10 years, which closed in early 2017.From 2017 WKO started a programme of Alternative Family Care, whose goal is to support children at their family level, empowering and supporting them and their family through economic and social intervention. WKO is supporting 120 families under alternative family care.

2. Education: one of the pillars of WKO is to improve the life of people through their personal development. Under the WKO education programme there are scholarships at primary, secondary and university level; feeding programmes for 2500 children; boarding school (the closed children home is now operating as a boarding school).

3. Wash: WKO is implementing a Women Empowerment project addressed to schoolgirls to improve their dignity and their school participation by providing them with sanitary pads, MHM sensitization session and life skill education. WKO economic project (a tailoring factory) is the producer of the washable sanitary pads distributed to the school's girls.

4. Economic empowerment : WKO has supported the realization of a Tailoring project, from the donation of sewing machines, the training of tailors and supporting them to market their products.
