PROGRAM NOTES Reverie is a short work for saxophone quartet that describes the feelings of inner reection and inner spirituality. The piece opens with the main motive representing inhaling and exhaling while the soprano saxophone sighs and soars over the top of the ensemble, fading in and out. The piece follows this motive throughout as it transforms and begins to question itself before winding back down to inner reection. Reverie was written for and is dedicated to the Iridium Saxophone Quartet.

ABOUT THE COMPOSER Kyle Waselewski (b. 1997) is a composer dedicated to the creation and promotion of new music. He has written both acoustic and electroacoustic music for

both large and chamber ensembles, as well as works for soloists. His music has been read and performed by ensembles such as the Illinois State University Wind Symphony and the BradleyBourbonnais Community High School Symphonic Band, as well as various soloists and chamber groups. He is currently pursuing a B.M. in Theory / Composition from Illinois State University and has studied with Martha Horst, Roger Zare, Roy Magnuson, and Carl Schimmel. Kyle has also studied conducting with Polly Middleton.
