Please Please, please, please Planes plunged into perpendicular buildings. I pray into the night. Please, please, please Parks and other places are all put down. Smoke pouring, pouring, pouring. Please, please, please Pictures are played over and over in my head. The pop, pop, pop rings in my ears. Please, please, please People never forget this day. Because here I lay peacefully.
Palm Tree The tree leaned in the fierce wind, I can feel its beat and the tree was nearly asleep. The winds grow and howl between my feet, No! The roots of the tree meet the surface, and the tree falls. The winds quiet, and all is normal again. But the lesson of the tree, teaches how difficult the world can be.
School Bells
Ring! Ring! Ring!
The students hustle to class. Stomp! Stomp! Stomp! One kid is running, about to be late. Classes have passed, lunch is about to start, Ring! Ring! Ring! The lunch bell rings and kids run. The loud talking, Blah! Blah! Blah! So many noises.
Day is near end, Kids are tired and sleepy, Zzz! Zzz! Zzz! Suddenly the bell‌ Ring! Ring! Ring! The kids rush out to be picked up. Finally, the day is over and the weekend is coming!
Abandon Me The leaves roll down on top of me, I kneel down with shame, The climbing weeds and vines strangle me, The wind hits me, pushing me lower and lower to the ground. Some kids play and rest in me. Then bored, they abandon me, and I am lonely. One day, a storm knocks me down into ruins. I cry as I lay there, destroyed.
Ears that Hears The ear is the sound’s pathway to the body. It can hear things softly and loudly, The ear can hear sounds all around, No one can concentrate when a sound is too loud. The ear can hear little kids laughing and screaming at theme parks, enjoying their candy. The soft sounds gently float inside the ear and rests. The cool, summer rain pierces the earth’s floor. Sweet smell of rain.
Pool Day I spent my day at the pool, Forgot to put on sunscreen, oh, it’s cool. Next thing I know, two hours have passed, No! My skin’s red, I gotta act fast. Jump out, grab my towel, and head inside, Thank goodness, I’m still not scalding outside. I try to touch my skin, I am filled with chagrin. Mom sees me and is upset, Locks me inside, just like a pet. I am beat red because I forgot sunscreen, Now, whenever I go out, I don’t want to be seen.
Locked up I look in the mirror and see a fighter like Bruce Lee, Never quit, set myself free. Think back to one sad memory, The ambulance speeds by as a cheetah looks for prey, I have fear in my eye to this day. When people came at me, I felt alone, Locked inside of a cage, I wasn’t sure I was coming home. I was sick, family was on their way, It felt like such a long day. A few days passed, I was an overwhelmed newborn. People were talking, my spirit was worn, Now I hide behind my glasses as a caveman hides from predators.
Chicken Dinner I love Chicken, thick cut. Fried, tastes so good.
Positive
I want nothing but. Killed a living animal, Didn’t take a stand, Only for my enjoyment,
Negative
Veggies are grand. Juicy chicken on a plate Fries as a side I just ate.
Neutral
Tender Time I burst through the door happy, excited. Everyone is dancing and having a great time. Tonight, there is no crime. I’m staying here awhile. I feel like I can run a mile.
Violent Dine I walk through the door, People are violent, Throwing drinks. Bam! Bam! I am upset, this isn’t for me. I’m grabbing my stuff I’m going to leave.
Bourbon Walk inside with my hat on Tell my mom that I’m going out I’ll be back. On the street, as I pass McDonald’s Start to get hungry, head on in Order the Mcnuggets. Energy is high, I feel like I can run the Boston Marathon On Bourbon Street, ready to party Mardi Gras in season, started already People running around, it’s gettin crazy.
Homework Come home with my ten pound backpack. Unload my homework stack. I look at it for a little bit, It is so thick I think to myself this will take forever. I’ll finish it quicker, if I’m clever. Please help me. When I’m done, I will be so old I can’t see. Finally complete, the year is past, I’m sitting in my chair with gray hair, Looking back to my English class, Reflecting while twirling my mustache.
Sonnet #1 Per. 5/6
Dos’t thou ever feelest like an old bag Wrinkled, saggy, so light soaring through air Are thou underground none to hear you nag Thou spark ignites like a glistening flare Thou are not devoid of space that is waste Thine future cannot be told on this day Greatness is something thou will often taste Storms may come and rain but rainbows will stay Roads lead to doors that open new portals Thy heart will gleam like bright pyrotechnics Explosions in the sky like immortals Stop watch goes off, my heart boom boom boom ticks Thou spirit is sparkling like a hidden gem, the world will know thee and awaken.
