According to Gustaf Burn, head of technology for Morgans Hotel Group, hotel guests bring “ an average of 2.7 devices with them and want to use them without downloading another app. Hotels are now starting to impliment additional outlets for charging devices and updating websites to be more mobile user friendly.

Go Local Hotels no longer have to look far to bring guests the finest in dining, decor, and entertainment. Locally sourcing goods has proven to be a popular trend within the hospitality industry. When hotels showcase their locally sourced goods they give the guest a sense of being an insider in a foreign city. Whether its the cuisine, artwork, or music, this local movement continues to be a powerful draw for both outsiders and community members alike.

These installations provide a great way to spark conversation and interest in the hotel on both a guest and local level. For example Daddy Longlegs, a themed art hotel in South Africa, features 13 guestrooms that act as an interactive art exhibition with each room having been designed by an artist designer, musician, poet, or photographer.
