Clarification to standards All Clogger chainsaw protective legwear is certified by Bureau Veritas NZ Ltd to AS/NZS 4453.3 1997 Protective Clothing for Users of Hand-held Chainsaws. Product certification by this internationally renowned company is your assurance that each garment is made to the same strict specifications as those garments originally submitted for testing. To gain certification status involves the demonstration of an ongoing testing procedure, along with regular audits to check documentation and other internal processes.
Arrestex HP Chainsaw Protective Fabric Arrestex HP is a high performance chainsaw protective fabric. Traditionally chainsaw protective fabrics work by clogging the sprocket with hundreds of tough polyester, polypropylene or nylon fibres. ARRESTEX HP both clogs and resists cutting. Super high strength, cut resistant fibres are incorporated into the protective pad giving vastly improved performance without adding weight or bulk.
FR Flex Fabric (Polo Shirts) FR Flex is a lightweight, breathable, stretch, Proban treated cotton. This fabric has an ATP Value of 11 cal/cm² which exceeds NFPA Code 70E Category 2 requirements for garments to have an ATP Value of 8 cal/cm². Tested to FTMS 191A 5903 for flame resistance. Ultraviolet Protection Factor (UPF) Category Rating of Excellent (50+).
Arrestex FR ArrestexFR is a high performance fire and arc resistant chainsaw protective fabric. While carrying out the same function as ArrestexHP by clogging and resisting cutting, it is 100% fire resistant and will not melt or drip. This fabric is used wherever there is an extreme heat and fire hazard and the regulations require non-melting garments. Consisting of super, high strength fibres, it offers exceptionally high performance while remaining very lightweight.
Fireshield-HT Fireshield-HT is utilised as the outer fabric wherever there is a fire hazard. Consisting of 88% cotton/12% nylon, its construction gives 49% higher tear strength than traditional cotton/nylon FR fabrics. Formaldehyde residues in this treated fabric are well below minimums required by law. This fabric maintains its flame resistance even after repeated washing.
Fireshield-S Fireshield-S is a FR cotton/Spandex blend. The cotton provides the comfort factor and the Spandex gives stretch which allows greater movement and flexibility, lowering fatigue levels of the wearer. Formaldehyde residues in this treated fabric are well below minimums required by law. This fabric maintains its flame resistance even after repeated washing.
