hey! I'M KYLENE Back in 2008, when I took my senior portraits (holy crap you guys make me feel old) I went to a generic, cookie-cutter photography studio. They did a great job, and I liked my photos.. I just didn't feel like they were "me". A couple months later when my friends and I were exchanging wallets (do you guys even do that anymore?! We didn't have facebook or instagram back then!) I was pretty shocked to find half my class had the EXACT same photo as me. Not just location, but pose, facial expression, EVERYTHING. My goal as a photographer is to give every client a unique experience. I want you to be involved in choosing locations, poses, everything. Your personality should shine through your photos!

The first step is to choose your collection. I'm a firm believer in printing your photos, so a majority of my collections include prints, but there are digital options.

Here are a few reminders: NAILS – neutral colors will match various outfits HAIR – a well-timed color + trim can keep root growth and split ends from ruining a great photo MAKEUP – unless you are a makeup guru, I highly suggest contacting a professional. I have a list of local makeup wizards who will make you feel and look incredible SKIN – drink lots of water in the weeks leading up to your session for glowing, healthy skin HAIR MAINTENANCE – legs, armpits, eyebrows, face... if you can see it in the mirror, my camera can see it as well

how it works A few weeks before your session, I'll get in touch to discuss outfits and locations. On the day of your session, we will typically meet a few hours before sun set at one of your shooting locations. When we meet, you should be dressed in your first outfit, and ready to shoot. I suggest bringing a parent or friend to tag along! We want this to be all about you, so I reccomend only bringing 1-2 people to your session, and no young children. We'll shoot for as much time as your choosen collection allows. A general guideline is one location per 30 minutes, so for a two hour session I would suggest 3-4 locations. Within two weeks of your initial session, I will send over an online proofing gallery. This is where you will choose your favorite photos for me to finalize and return to you. Within six weeks of sending me your favorite photos, I will update your online gallery with your finalized images. If your collection included prints, you will choose which photos to use for which prints at this time. You may also purchase additional print packages, or ala carte prints. In February, I will send out an email with information on ordering announcments. A custom design is complimentary with all announcement orders.
