Project Green! Hey You! Yes you reading this article! Are you a freshman or sophomore hoping to give back to your community? Are you seeking a leadership opportunity? Are you looking for the chance to network with employers? Then this is what you're looking for!
How did you obtain your internship? How did you obtain your internship?
Project Green is the ongoing community service effort sponsored by the Lear Corporation Career Services Center. Our mission is to collaborate the efforts of students and business representatives in order to make a difference in the surrounding community. It started in 2001 as a single event open only to business students. Entering our ninth year our efforts have expanded to ten events, all of which are open to all MSU students. Project Green is a great way for students to get involved and make a difference. We are currently looking for our next director! This is an amazing opportunity that offers leadership opportunities, challenging project development, and the chance to work with a great team of people. If you are interested, please send all inquiries to Project Green, Lear Career Services Center, 21 Eppley (MSU Campus) or email msuprojectgreen@gmail.com.

Did you get a job offer? Here is how to take care of it... -Initial Response-
Always respond right away, acknowledging that you’ve received an offer. In the response, thank the company and let them know you are interested in the position, if that’s true.
-Time to Decide-
Find out how much time the company is giving you to decide.
-In Writing-
Ask to see the job offer in writing. It should include the job description, supervisor information, salary, and benefits. This helps you compare it to other offers.
-Another Offer-
You have to be careful when handling two or more offers at the same time. Communicate honestly with all potential employers, advising them that you are considering multiple offers.
-Saying No-
Saying no to a company must be handled appropriately. Advise the person who offered you the job that you have accepted another position, while being courteous and friendly. Follow up your phone call with an email that expresses your gratitude for the company's consideration of you.
-A Better Offer-
If you receive an offer from another company after you have accepted an offer, you cannot change your mind. The company you accepted is counting on you to keep your word. This is why you need to weigh your options carefully.
