Decoding The Political Message: Politicians, Government Speak And Brainwash by Bob Livingston February 17, 2014 Politics is a con game of misdirection and subterfuge. The game is run by politicians, bureaucrats and the mass media operating as a front for the government and the elites. While most did not see it, last week’s votes on the “debt ceiling” in Congress was an example of the game on display. Governments and politicians mask their agendas and create illusions to deceive, misrepresent and misdirect. The story out of the House of Representatives is that Weeper John Boehner and a handful of his caucus fell on their swords to give President Barack Obama a “clean” debt ceiling bill. That act was followed by a small number of Republican Senators, led by Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, doing likewise. This has prompted howls of protests from Republican voters. They have called for Boehner’s head and vowed to defeat him and McConnell and other “traitors” to conservatism who voted to give Obama a blank spending check. Republican voters—those who consider themselves Tea Party members, fiscal conservatives and Constitutionalists—operate under the misperception that replacing current Republican leadership in the next election will somehow alter the direction of government. They say this despite the wealth of evidence demonstrating that no matter which of the two political parties possess the upper hand at the moment, the nation’s budget grows, the “debt ceiling” must be raised, so-called social “entitlement” spending increases and military adventurism continues apace. No political promise to eliminate Federal alphabet soup agencies, reign in “wasteful spending”, streamline government or cease foreign “nation building” has ever come to meaningful fruition. In governmentspeak, “cuts” simply means a reduction in the growth of a program or agency. Those cuts are always quickly reversed (see the sequester). There are never any real or substantive cuts as Americans perceive them. It is the nature of governments to perpetually grow, and the nature of politics and politicians is for wealth and aggrandizement. Politicians and bureaucrats represent government and the political system, not you. (The same can be said for judges, prosecutors and lawyers.) Governments, bureaucrats and politicians look upon the public as a herd that should be deceived and led for the benefit of government and the elite. By and large it works because the vast majority of Americans go along with the system. Its social and moral depravity prospers under the cloak of democracy. Democracy is an organized system of political, moral and social control. It is the evolution and
fulfillment of all systems gone before. It is the New World Order to perfection for the ruling international elite. It is the master strategy of taking human liberty and individualism and transferring them to the group herd that clamors for authoritarianism. Because of its groupism (and other reasons), democracy was anathema to the Founding Fathers. For that reason they created a republican form of government and guaranteed it to the States in the Constitution. But republicanism has been flushed down the memory hole, replaced by democracy-inname-only fascism. Groupism, then, is the hidden strategy to get the masses to give their minds over to the state. This, my friends, is the politics of authoritarianism. More than anything else, democracy is the psychodrama of worldwide dehumanization. Mass behavior or mass delusions become driving economic or social forces because it is a mindless psychological phenomenon. This crowd behavior is created and manifested upon the loss of critical faculties of the individual. Democracy is not freedom. It is not government by the people and for the people. It is the perfect disguise for benevolent totalitarianism. As sober individuals, people would behave very differently. But when people are drawn by the passion of the crowd, they become totally irrational. The intelligence of a crowd is always inferior to the intelligence of the individual. It is a modern illusion that everything is known to everybody because of a mass of available up-to-date information thanks to the Internet and, especially, social media networks. Instead, the truth is that the media consensus is always the opposite of what will help you. The purpose of the media, the market and politics is to create public sentiment and direction opposite of reality. Public opinion is the worst trend to follow. Most everybody spends their whole existence mimicking public opinion without ever suspecting that they do not think their own thoughts. (Proof of this can be found in the comments section of every Personal Liberty article.) Social media networks have exacerbated this phenomenon. Esoteric change agents know this psychological principle extremely well. The fundamental principle of mass persuasion is to create the herd or group mentality in order to significantly lower the intelligence level — the better and easier to direct and control for the benefit of authority. Edward L. Bernays, the nephew of Sigmund Freud, is the father of manipulative propaganda in America. Mass persuasion and mass hypnosis is fundamental to so-called “democracy.” According to Bernays’ book, Propaganda, “Those who manipulate the unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country. We are governed, our minds molded, our tastes formed, our ideas suggested largely by men we have never heard of. In almost every act of our lives, whether in the sphere of politics or business in our social conduct or our ethical thinking, we are dominated by the relatively small number of persons who understand the mental processes and social patterns of the masses. It is they who pull the wires that control the public mind.” The thoughts of the public mind become conventional wisdom. There are two words that describe conventional wisdom and they are control and conformity. These terms are self-enforcing. That is, if
there is control, there is conformity. And if there is conformity, there is control. One important thought here: A person’s IQ or education level has absolutely nothing to do with his perception of reality. Higher education is higher brainwashing. Sometimes it seems that the more education, the bigger the fool. People are obsessed with believing what they have always believed without question. An inquiring mind is required for anyone to question long-held views. Here are some examples of conventional wisdom. This is what most people believe: • That government will not lie or allow an economic depression. • That history as taught in schools or history books is truth. • That pharmaceuticals sell good drugs that aid cures. • That vaccinations bring immunity. • That people can “catch” disease from someone else — germ theory. • That the cure for cancer is just around the corner. • When a child is sick, he needs antibiotics. • When a child has fever, he needs Tylenol. • Hospitals are safe and clean. • That drugs are not poison. • That doctors and hospitals do not cause deaths. • Guns are dangerous. • World War I “made the world safe for democracy.” • World War II was for democracy to prevail over tyranny. • The Korean War was to “contain communism.” • The Iraq war was to find and destroy “weapons of mass destruction.” • Paper money is wealth. They have dumbed us down. They rape us daily and we never question their criminal intentions. We seem to have no memory, no will to resist, no interest in our own fate. And worst of all, we have no interest in preserving Christian morality. The need to conceal evil is becoming less necessary as the American people themselves continue to become more perverted. The political con game is all about the transformation of human beings to the animal farm. The message must be decoded on our terms — on the basis of our original politics, our original culture, our original beliefs and our original traditions. Unless and until the game is viewed this way, one does not have the tools to keep from being brainwashed. Until then, nothing will change.
The Founders’ Legacy: Will We Prefer the Calm of Despotism? By Allan Erickson February 16 2014
Our second president said this at the end of his life, speaking directly to us, here and now: “Posterity! You will never know how much it cost the present generation to preserve your freedom. I hope you will make good use of it. If you do not, I shall repent in heaven that ever I took half the pains to preserve it.” President John Adams, 1777 Much has been written about the two Americas: rich and poor, red and blue, right and left, traditional and post-modern, religious and agnostic. Given politics driven by different ideas about our purpose, it can be said we have divided into two increasingly warlike camps. These camps have been locked in struggle for the soul of the country for at least sixty years. One camp—considered New Age—is populated by people born in the post-WWII era. They were raised in the 1950s, came of age in the 60s, then launched a new vision of America, something dramatically different from what had gone before, a counter culture, in short, a systematic repudiation and contradiction of every element of traditionalism, premised upon the notion America is inherently evil— racist, sexist, imperialistic, jingoistic. It is supposed, in this camp, these ills can only be cured by
a purging of all things Judeo-Christian and free market and military, and government is the logical agent to exact this purging. This camp—what this writer calls Americans In Name Only (AINO)—has worked hard to successfully conquer and control government, education, media, entertainment, and publishing. Consequently, tax dollars fund legal advocacy groups that tear down the Ten Commandments, insist the Boy Scouts allow homosexual leaders, force gay marriage through judicial activism, deny rights to people in the womb, codify assisted suicide, and employ the arm of law enforcement to stifle free speech and enforce new codes of politically correct behavior. Ultimately, conformity and control are the tools used to build the new “consensus,” by force, if necessary. Some might say it is King George in a different robe, bearing the likeness of Karl Marx. These AINOs are the driving force behind the Obama candidacy, with the help of foreign powers. The other camp—considered old hat—are people born somewhere before and during WWII, raised in various times of struggle and deprivation, coming of age even today in the hearts and minds of ten year olds. Sadly, members of that greatest generation are dying off rapidly, their torchbearers now minority voices dominated by media, Malibu, and Manhattan. This second camp we call traditionalists. How do we define traditional Americanism in this pluralistic society? One might be tempted to gaze on Norman Rockwell paintings in a kind of nostalgic exercise to capture a sense of traditionalism, risking hyper romanticism. Another might embrace the 1940s or the 1830s or 1776 to find strands of traditionalism. Yet traditional Americanism is not a place or a painting or a period of time. Traditional Americanism lives in a set of simple ideas and essential virtues: liberty, equal opportunity, justice, goodness, charity, hope, promise, community, volunteerism, fidelity, honor, faith, prudence, restraint, service, economy, individualism, self-reliance, family, and courage. Revisionists will scream objections, but the truth is our moral lifeblood has always flowed from Judeo-Christian traditions not from an embrace of AINO universalism. Based on their understanding of the laws of nature and the presence of the Creator, the founders struggled to birth our country, first by shedding blood to throw off the domination of England, then by sweat and tears to form the government, followed by more sweat and tears and sometimes blood, arguing what emphasis to place: strong central government or states’ rights; isolationist foreign policy or expansionist engagement; government setting the pace in promoting social change versus change from the bottom up by the people informing government as they worked it out for themselves. The dynamics shifted here and there, back and forth, and continue today. The miracle of this experiment conducted by free and independent people is just that, a miracle. Like all things, this miracle has a life span and will be replaced by something else, something less, as the miracle worker is displaced. What the founders feared most has come to pass: we have created an enormously powerful federal government, now presiding over a desperately split and antagonistic population. Combine this reality with looming bankruptcy and unprecedented foreign threats, and we are found standing on the edge,
staring into the abyss. We have traveled far afield from our roots. And if the polls are correct, we insist on traveling further. At a time when proven traditional Americanism should wisely inform our proceedings to affect our salvation, like stubborn children we appear insistent on an alternative path, one that suggests implementing methods already shown to be failures: larger government, more taxation, governmentprescribed social engineering, central control of the economy, attempts to appease enemies, weakened national defense, erosion of family and morality. Will we actually sell our birthright for a bowl of stew and healthcare? Do we really think it wise and enlightened to place faith in government instead of our proven track record walking in the traditions of our fathers? Did not our revolution contradict the idea government is the solution, either monarchy or democracy? Have we fallen so far as to demonize a good woman like Sarah Palin and exalt a person like Barack Obama, a man who won’t even take a stand for the civil rights of babies who survive abortion? By putting Senator Obama in the White House, we will be saying we have crossed over from being primarily a country of traditionalists, to Americans in name only. We will have placed our feet on a new threshold. The path beyond is grimly lit. Yet one thing is certain: we will, in doing this, squander the liberty purchased and sustained by so many for so long. We will, in doing this, say to our Creator, “You are no longer the centerpiece of this republic but merely a side show, and a tenuous one at that.” Do modern ears cringe at the strident words from a giant of Americanism? “They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.” — Benjamin Franklin/An Historical Review of Pennsylvania, from Its Origin, etc., 1759. Are we then making good use of this great freedom by handing it over to those who would destroy it? Are we deserving of liberty if we refuse to protect and defend it? Our third president, Thomas Jefferson, said, “Experience hath shewn, that even under the best forms [of government] those entrusted with power have, in time, and by slow operations, perverted it into tyranny.” And, “Timid men prefer the calm of despotism to the tempestuous sea of liberty.” Timid people fail to preserve freedom and, rather, accept the calm of despotism by electing Barack Obama. Therefore, to recapture liberty, there will be tempestuous seas ahead or a passing away of the miracle forever.
