Nobamacare “Approval” Drops To Record Low

Nobamacare “Approval” Drops To Record Low Zero Hedge January 12, 2014 For the current administration, now with a fresh developer to fix all the problems (with the website), the reality of public perception over Obamacare has gone from worst to worster-er this week. AsGallup polls show, nearly half of Americans say the Affordable Care Act will make the healthcare situation in the U.S. worse in the long run.

When asked more broadly if they approve or disapprove of Obamacare, Americans come down on the disapprove side by 54% to 38% – a new record low for ‘approval’.

So despite the full court press marketing of this great new must-have product – and in light of the fact that the ‘risk-pool’ looks to be disastrous, things are not improving at all. Perhaps not surprisingly though, Gallup concludes, …remarkably, there has been little fundamental change in most of these attitudes over the past year or two — and especially in recent months, despite the highly contentious and visible introduction of the ACA’s major features. Americans’ views of the healthcare law seem to be fairly well established, and largely rooted in partisan politics. Of course, we look forward to the next month as bills come due and people realize that “affordable” means something different than they were promised (i.e. not free)…

Gov’t Secret Chemical Warfare Against The Public Exposed Infowars.com January 11, 2014

Pentagon “gay bomb” was only part of the plan to destroy the sexes Alex Jones and Dr. Edward Group expose the chemical warfare that’s been unleashed on the public: chemicals are added to the food supply that disrupt hormones, reduce fertility and wreck havoc on gender identity, effectively making men act like women and women act like men. For example, a Kaiser Permanente study published online in the journal Birth Defects Research stated that in utero exposure to Bisphenol-A may adversely affect male genital development. “This finding indicates that BPA may interfere with testosterone function during fetal development because the shortened AGD indicates under-developed male genitalia, likely due to an abnormal testosterone function,” the report read.

‘Year Of Action’: Obama Vows More Executive Orders Dave Boyer Washington Times January 12, 2014

President Obama called Saturday for a “year of action,” and he acknowledged those plans include more executive action. “I’ll keep doing everything I can to create new jobs and new opportunities for American families — with Congress, on my own, and with everyone willing to play their part,” Mr. Obama said in his weekly address. Entering a year of midterm elections, with much of the president’s agenda stalled in Congress, some observers expect Mr. Obama to bypass the legislative branch with executive actions even more frequently than he has in the past. But the president said action should begin with lawmakers extending unemployment benefits for 1.3 million Americans whose insurance expired in late December. “This vital economic lifeline helps people support their families while they look for a new job,” Mr. Obama said. “Congress needs to finish the job right away. More than one million Americans across the country will feel a little hope right away.”

The Senate cleared an initial hurdle on extending the benefits this week with a measure that would cost about $6 billion over three months, although the benefits were not paid for. Senate Democrat later proposed a 10-month extension that would be paid for, but the proposal stalled over Democrats’ move to block Republican amendments. Another vote is tentatively set for next week. The president outlined other steps he will take to promote economic growth, including an event he will hold in North Carolina Wednesday with colleges and manufacturing firms to attract high-tech jobs. Mr. Obama said he will also host CEOs at the White House next week to announce “commitments we’re making to put more of the long-term unemployed back to work.” And in his State of the Union address on Jan. 28, Mr. Obama said, he will “mobilize the country around the national mission of making sure our economy offers everyone who works hard a fair shot at opportunity and success.” “As Americans, that’s what we should expect,” Mr. Obama said. His annual address to Congress is expected to include another call for lawmakers to increase the federal minimum wage. White House Offers Ridiculous Excuses To Object To Obamacare Transparency Bills Michael Dorstewitz bizpacreview.com January 12, 2014

The Obama administration, which describes itself as the most transparent in history, announced its opposition to two House bills calling for transparency in the administration of the Affordable Care Act. The first, approved Friday by a wide margin, would require administration officials to inform people when their personal information has been compromised. The second, slated for a vote next week, would require the administration to provide Congress with weekly updates of Obamacare’s implementation, according to The Hill. The House approved the first, H.R. 3811, the Health Exchange Security and Transparency Act, by a 291-122 vote, including 67 Democrats. In its writtenpolicy statement, dated Thursday, the White House claimed that the legislation would impose “costly paperwork requirements.” “For example, the indiscriminate reporting requirement in H.R. 3811 may seriously impede the law enforcement investigation of a breach,” the White House said in its statement. “Unlike existing requirements, H.R. 3811 requires expensive and unnecessary notification for the compromise of publicly-available information, even if there is no reasonable risk that information could be used to cause harm.” Banks inform their customers as a matter of course whenever they believe there’s even the possibility that an account has been compromised, and they don’t complain that it’s “unnecessary notification.” It’s all the cost of doing business in an electronic information age. The administration published a similar policy statement for the bill scheduled for next week. The White House complained that the reporting requirements of H.R. 3362, the Exchange Information Disclosure Act, would place an undue burden on the administration.

“It would require the reporting of data on a weekly basis that is generally being provided on a monthly basis. Few major indicators — from job growth to Medicare Advantage enrollment to private shareholder reports — are provided more frequently than monthly; this bill would hold the Marketplaces and State Medicaid programs to unprecedented standards,” the White House said in its policy statement. “To implement this new reporting system, contracts may need to be modified and new staff would need to be hired on an expedited basis, adding millions of dollars in costs to States and the Federal Government,” the White House added. If it’s not already present, a counter can be easily added to the software. It would keep a running tally of the number of visits to the site, number of individuals who created an account, number of those who selected a plan and the number who have actually paid for their plan. It certainly wouldn’t require a new reporting system, additional staff or millions of dollars in implementation costs. It would only require a desire to make good on its promise — to be the most transparent presidential administration in history.

Report: US Army Tested Biological Weapons In Japan During The Sixties AFP January 12, 2014 The US army conducted field experiments of biological weapons, which could harm rice cropping, in the Japanese island of Okinawa in the early 1960s, a press report said Sunday. The US army conducted field experiments of biological weapons, which could harm rice cropping, in the Japanese island of Okinawa in the early 1960s, a press report said Sunday. The same experiments were also conducted on the US mainland and in Taiwan, Kyodo news agency reported, citing US military documents it said it had obtained. The US is "believed to have had China and Southeast Asia in mind in developing such crop-harming agents", the report stated.

In the tests conducted at least a dozen times between 1961 and 1962, rice blast fungus was released over rice fields and data was collected on how it affected rice production, Kyodo said, citing the documents.

Rice blast disease causes lesions to form on the plant, threatening the crop. The fungus, which is known to occur in 85 countries, is estimated to destroy enough rice to feed 60 million people each year. The US government decided in 1969 to discard all biological weapons in its possession, Kyodo said. In 1975, an international convention against production and possession of biological weapons came into force. Okinawa was under post-World War II US rule until 1972. The US government has previously disclosed information about chemical and biological warfare tests at sea and on land in such places as Puerto Rico, Hawaii and Utah. The obtained documents mention test sites including Nago and Shuri, both in Okinawa, but it is not known whether the experiments were conducted within the premises of US bases there, Kyodo said. In the field tests, the army "used a midget duster to release inoculum alongside fields in Okinawa and Taiwan," measuring dosages at different distances and the effect on crop production, the documents said. A separate document said, "Field tests for stem rust of wheat and rice blast disease were begun at several sites in the (US) midwest and south and in Okinawa with partial success in the accumulation of useful data," according to Kyodo.
