The typeface Sabon is an old-style serif typeface designed in 1967 by German-born typographer and designer Jan Tschichold. The roman is based on types by Claude Garamond. The italics are based on types by Garamond’s peer, Robert Grandjon which were also derivates of Garamond. Linotype sells the font today.
