LANDSCAPE DESIGN OF URBAN OPEN SPACES February 2012 collaborated with Tsogkas Panagiotis The central axis of this proposal is the disruption of the urban site with the introduction of curved, flowing lines, that simulate the element of water and in general the organic, natural environment. These lines create a complex of paths and stops, that spreads to the urban network, attempting to strengthen the presence of the nature and to invite the citizens to the inside of the formed stream. The materials that are being used are copper, that coats the formed balustrade and highlights the curved lines, wood, which marks the bridges and cast material, that defines the main root.

URBAN DESIGN _ Synecdoches of social living February 2013 collaborated with Tsogkas Panagiotis This project suggests a synecdoche of social living that incorporates the sense of private space and identification, whereas sets the individual in a general frame of social living. This is being interpreted in terms of form, respectively, by a shellcomponent, that provides the opportunity for custom design, within standards, and by the interdependent, successive development of a pattern. This pattern defines that each component derives, depends and interacts by each previous and next ones and has a social meaning, due to the fact that cooperation, tolerance and consistency are presupposed.

HYBRID SPACES_ Book exhibition February 2013 collaborated with Tsogkas Panagiotis The concept of this proposal is based to the experiences of the book reading, as well as to the idea of the sea that lies along the given site. The result is an elongate, flowing, lightweight structure, which creates parallel paths which are interrupted by wider spaces, able to host any kind of gathering activity. The characteristic trait of this proposal is the main material that is used, supported by a metal structure, which is white canvas, to assimilate the pages of a book and the sailcloth of a ship, all leading to the idea of actual and mental travelling.

CLOUDscape _ Dissertation project September 2014 collaborated with Tsogkas Panagiotis and supervised by Sakellaridoy I., associate professor at the School of Architecture of AUTH The clouds, the lake and the rain of the city of Ioannina were the inspiration for this project. The selected area was an elongate plot on the coast of lake Pamvotida, which received a CLOUDscape, a cultural complex, that both responds to the needs of the area and reflects the aura of the place. A library, an exhibition space, an auditorium and a cafĂŠ are hosted within this complex that lies on the edge of the plot, being simultaneously the starting point and the destination of the overall linear movement of the field. Along this linearity unfolds a series of activities, from educational oriented formations, concerning the flora and fauna of the lake, to athletic and cultural open air premises, accompanied by parks.

The field uses the logic of a matrix, with receivers and the above-mentioned activities that can be incorporated into the field in various ways. The building, on the other hand, reflects the core of our inspiration, the clouds, by evolving the sense of fluidity with continuous movements inside, outside and around the building and by imprinting the form of the cloud both in plan and section. Characteristic traits of this design are the exhibition prisms, the library spiral and the use of vertical bamboo components for the shading of the building.

Plan(t) your days _ Agro.design workshop

May 2015 collaborated with Kanellopoulos Stamatis, Kargiou EiriniChrysovalantou, Papakrasa Maria This project was developed during the workshop “Αgro.design” that was an initiative of the Industrial Design Laboratory of the Department of Fine Arts and Applied Arts, AUTH in collaboration with the laboratories of the Faculty of Agriculture, AUTH. The idea behind this object is the combination of paper recycling and utilization of inedible waste of fruit, with domestic growing herbs. We tried to implement this by creating an interactive calendar that is a stack of twelve pyramids. Each pyramid represents a month and it is made from recycled and recyclable paper and the peel of the fruit we eat that month, incorporating seeds of herb that will be planted at the end of the month. The pyramids have three sides. One side has the calendar, the second gives information about the fruit of the month and the third presents the corresponding herb. At the end of each month you cut in pieces the pyramid, place it in a pot full of soil, cover it with a small amount of soil, water it and wait for it to sprout!

Galu Hand luggage

GALU HAND LUGGAGE _ Redesign of an existing object December 2015 collaborated with G. Dafni, G. Mikrou, A. Tzitamidou This project proposes the redesign of an existing object, the hand luggage, in order to be as convenient and functional as possible for the users. After surveying the needs to be covered, a new hand luggage was designed, having as main features the ability to be carried with multiple ways, a built-in vacuum bag mechanism, foldable shelves for better organisation and maximized capacity and a hidden incased pillow to facilitate the long waiting hours of travelling.

The Yellow Submarine

THE YELLOW SUBMARINE _ Hamster Travel Carrier February 2016 The present project addresses the issue of the transportation of our little, fluffy friends, hamsters. The design, which is obviously inspired by the yellow submarine, is small and convenient to carry around, whereas at the same time it includes necessities for a longer trip, like a water bottle and an exercise wheel. The overall shape is rounded, to provide the hamster with places to curl and at the same time to facilitate the cleaning process and the openings, four windows and upper slits, offer the necessary light and ventilation for an easy ride.

The TSOLIAS PROJECT

THE TSOLIAS PROJECT _ Kitchen timer February 2016 This project proposes the redesign of an existing object, the hand luggage, in order to be as convenient and functional as possible for the users.

ESPRESSENSE _ Re-inventing the archetype of the moca pot May 2016 This project aimed at redesigning the archetype of the mocapot. The concept was to keep the traditional method of making coffee, the procedure, the aroma, the satisfaction of drinking homemade espresso, while following the contemporary busy lifestyle. The outcome is a portable, rechargable moca pot that lets you enjoy an espresso on the go, whenever and wherever you want. The morphology was inspired by the polygonality of the traditional moca pot, but in a reversed way. The bottom part contains a rechargable battery and has the corresponding shape to fit perfectly to the charging base. The middle part is where the coffeee ends up ready to be served. The upper part is a cup, with a compratment in its bottom to store coffee. The material is ceramic, to ensure a nice grip.

Vespicy

VESPICY _ Vespa Pepper mill May 2016 This project was about designing an object under the Vespa brand that speaks the same language and it is out of the company’s usual product range. The result was a Vespa pepper mill that uses the design language of the brand to spice up your days. The elements of the brand reflected on the pepper mill are the slighlty curved surfaces, the pale color and the silver lining. Vespicy pepper mill gives a sublte sense of the Vespa feeling, while preserving its own identity.
