USING DATA COLLECT FROM SWITCHES THAT SIGNAL THE OPENING AND CLOSING OF DOOR AND THE DIGITAL AIR PRESSURE SENSORS, THE MODELS ARE DRAWN FROM DATA POSTED ON THE PACHUBE WEBSITE THAT IS COLLECT EVERY FIFTEEN MINUTES OVER THE COURSE OF ONE DAY. THERE IS A PRESSURE SENSOR LOCATED IN THE INTERIOR OF STUDIO 315 AND A SENSOR IS LOCATED AT THE BOTTOM OF THE DOOR. THE MODEL SHOWS HOW PEOPLE INTERACT WITH OPENING AND THE RESULTING FLOW OF AIR BETWEEN THEM.

DOOR SWTICH PRESSURE SENSOR


The fluctuations in the model show when there is a state change between the doors. Each door is represented by a different color within a 24hr time period. The height of the fluctuations is based on the readings of the sensors. The model is built up in 15 minute intervals based on the recorded data from Pachube.


The magnetic model shows the air flow between the open and closed doors. Using the same data set, the range of attraction and repulsion is created from the range of pressure values from 995 to 985hpa with the value 990 acting as 0.

INFRARED AND LIGHT

ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELDS ARE PHYSICAL FIELD THAT CAN NOT BE SEEN VISUALLY. AN ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELD IS DEVELOPED THROUGH THE COMBINATION OF A ELECTRIC FIELD AND A MAGNETIC FIELD. THE EARTH HAS ITS OWN ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELD AND IT CREATED IN THE OUTER CORE THROUGH NUCLEAR FUSION. THE IMAGE ON THE RIGHT SHOWS THE ELECTROMAGNETIC SPECTRUM. THE HIGHLIGHTED MILLIGUASS LEVEL > 3THAT = HARMFUL IMAGES ON THE TOP SIDE OF THE SPECTRUM ARE DEVICES THAT WE HAVE CREATED WHICH EMIT ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELD COULD POTENTIALLY BE HARMFUL TO US.

ELECTROMAGNETIC SENSING Recently, there has been alot of research regarding animals and their behavior around power lines. Looking at Google Earth, many reserachers reliaze cows generally align themselves toward magnetic north. As herds of cattle move closer to high voltage power line, their magnetic sense begins to to get disrupted. The cattle will generally align east-west against a east-west power line, but power line running northeast-southwest or northwest-southeast will random orientations.

There is research that cows are effected by EMF especially under high powered power lines. This sketch models the changes in movement of the cows when they are in range of these power line. The affected cows need non affected cows to re-direct them. The mouse click add power lines and towers between the power lines. The left and right keys control range and the up and down key control strength.


This sketch looks more at the urban condition and people. The power line step down in strength and range between each transformer. Some people are affect more than others. If they are aligned to the field they continue on their way. The transformers are added with a mouse click and power lines are drawn in between.

THERE IS THE NEED TO MOUNT THE SOUND DEVICE TO AN OBJECT THAT CONSTANTLY MOVES THROUGHOUT THE CITY, BECAUSE PEOPLE WOULD GET ANNOYED BY THE CONTINOUS PITCH OF THE DEVICE. THE TAXICABS WOULD GET ACTIVATED BY DIFFERENT LEVELS OF EMF CREATING CORRESPONDING PITCH OR VOLUME LEVELS.


THE EMF LEVELS ON THE STREET ACTIVATE THE SOUND, BUT THE STREETSCAPE AND THE MOVEMENT OF THE TAXICABS THAT DEFINE THE SOUND. THE SPEED OF THE CABS AND WHERE THEY WERE LOCATED ON THE STREET MODIFY THE SOUND THAT IS ACTIVATED BY THE EMF LEVELS. THE STREETSCAPE DEFINES HOW THE CABS ARE AGGERAGATED IN NYC AND LOCATES ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELDS IN VERY SPECIFIC LOCATIONS. MOST OF THE ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELDS ARE PRODUCED IN STATIC LOCATION THROUGH THE ESTABLISH INFRASTURCTURE OF THE CITY.


THE CABS ARE NOT ONLY ACTIVATED BY THE EMF FIELDS THEY ARE WITHIN BUT THEY ARE ONLY ACTIVATED WHEN THEY ARE IN MOTION SO THAT THERE IS NOT CONSTANT PITCH. THIS DIAGRAM ALSO A VISUAL SIGNAL NOT ONLY AN AUDIO SIGNAL THAT COULD OCCUR BY USING THE EXISTING ADVERTISMENT TOP LIGHT. This video demonstrates the an active block of cabs traveling down a street and their deactivation at a traffic light. Then there is a activation of another set of cabs on an avenue when their traffic light turns green.
