Yeonsu Kwon YEONSU KWON is an aspiring DJ and has hoped to become one ever since she attended the Ultra Music Festival in Hong Kong. While at the festival, she discovered a worldwide-known DJ whose stage name is Zedd, and he has been her ultimate inspiration to pursue deejaying. Another role model for Yeonsu is Korean pop star CL of a K-pop group called 2ne1. With CL’s stylish bold fashion trends and goals to change how the world sees K-pop, no wonder Yeonsu looks up to her. The most difficult decision Yeonsu has ever made in her life was quitting her job in marketing. To most, it can lead to negative outcomes, but for her it has been the happiest moment. Her biggest supporters to help her through tough situations are her family and boyfriend, who is also a DJ himself. One word to describe Yeonsu Kwon is “everything.” If anyone thinks she cannot do something, Yeonsu will make it happen, and that is included in everything that she has accomplished to do. That being said, Yeonsu’s greatest achievement is being able to speak four languages that include Korean, Chinese, English and Russian. With special talents such as playing piano by ear, she was definitely born to love music. Besides deejaying, Yeonsu also enjoys cooking, eating and sleeping well — and of course listening to great music. To this day, a motto she has always followed is: “Life is short; do what you want.” Y.K.

We use heavy looking wool coats and jackets combined with light silk dresses worn over hand knitted turtleneck pullovers, all tight up with belts. It is always about the contrast of fabrics and use of colours to enhance the edginess of the classical cut. The material is cut into stripes like belts, which are attached to tops, coats and dresses — thus making the garment functional. The whole top can be changed in seconds just by altering the stripes.

Pearl Honeyman model for hire

PEARL Honeyman (Onyx Chalcedony) is a model who was born and raised in Vancouver, BC. Spending the last decade living in Saskatoon, she returned to Vancouver just last year to refresh and restart her journey in pursuit of happiness and personal well-being. Pearl has jumped into the modelling industry headfirst and strives to learn about the industry and her involvement within it. She has had much success in a relatively short time because of her eagerness to improve at every opportunity she is given. During her youthful years, Pearl had struggled to truly blossom in modelling due to culinary school and the responsibilities with becoming a chef. Her passion for modelling and photography was there, but the opportunities were minimal along with her self-confidence. Photography, however, has always been a passion since. This form of expression helped her with anxiety and self-esteem during adolescence that we all endure as teenagers. Presently she is a model for hire and has received numerous endorsements and commendations on the work she has produced in the past six months. Pearl’s personal quote in which she has always believed in is, “if you put in the work, the results will come, and they have. Coming from the kitchen as a chef where reliability and consistency is everything, she brings these strengths with her as a professional model. O.C.

Latest Hair Hot from “THERE’S a little of every artist in their work,” said Dr. Ana Stelline in the movie ‘Blade Runner 2049.’ Appropriately enough, the latest spring hair trends observed on the runways enunciate the massive talent of our modern hairstylists. These trends are for the free-souled diva, the hardworking lady-boss, the teenage high school heartthrob, and for women from all walks of life. Fashion is for everyone, and everyone will benefit from reading my must-see lineup of the latest spring hairstyles for 2018.

Turn Heads with This Double Pony Best suited for the ladies who love to turn heads, but want to spend minimum time in front of the mirror. This perfect school girl hairdo lets a couple of strands loose in the front to cover sides of your face. Tie your hair at the back with double ties; leave space between both ties. Voila! Simple, well-crafted and the perfect blend of naughty and nice. I can’t wait to try this myself, ha!

Curly Hair Don’t Care For all the ladies out there who spend so much time straightening their hair, I have good news! Own your natural volume and bounce with this look and let them jaws drop. Brushed-out curls are back in fashion and we are totally here for it. You got your curls, just get a brush and let it go … Keep it frizzy, a bit even on both sides and when you hit that sweet spot between elegant and wild, that’s it. Another great hairstyle trend that most women can adopt easily.

Spring 2018

Trends of 2018 the Runways Straight Up Royalty We got the curly haired ladies covered, but don’t think I forgot about the silky straight-haired beauties. Now, this trend has been a real eye-catcher at the Versace shows. Ever wanted to feel like royalty? This is your opportunity. Wearing gold hair accessories, especially barrettes, is one of the most talked about spring hairstyle trend. Glamorous doesn’t even begin to define this look. Comb or straighten your hair and wear tasteful gold accessories. Word of warning: it’s spring, not Christmas, so go easy on the hair decoration.

The Taylor Swift Look You don’t have to be a Taylor Swift fan to admit that her latest hairstyle is straight up glamorous. Those front bangs coupled with frizzy side fringes that are just a bit past the shoulder length and in that hair shade, truly a work of art! Let me tell you this; if you want to look sexy, classy and exude confidence, this should be your go-to look.

No Scrunchy, No Party I have been following fashion for some time now and scrunchies sort of complete a classic spring look. Scrunchies in cool shades have been a huge hit on all major runway shows. This is perfect for us ladies; just imagine how many hairstyles we can support with a scrunchy. What a time to be alive! How about that for latest spring hairstyles of 2018? I can’t wait to try all these, this spring. What about you?
