DESIGN BRIEF EXISTING FEATURES
Concrete grey floor. Plaster walls, grey. Wallpapers with floral patterns, grey with Boiserie in some places. Tall ceiling with exposed HVAC system, black. Marble bar table. Bar is stainless steel with mix concrete and marble top. Black coloured aluminum shelves in the bar. DESIGN STATEMENT The restaurant is gloomy, needs to be more energetic and dynamic (colours, better circulation, lighting, furniture, finishing). The second space should be open and should be welcoming. So the back wall should be more visible (decorative lighting, colour, focal point, transparent furniture). This space should be cosier (lighting, lower ceiling). Materials should be warmer, now generally are concrete and stainless steel and space is very cold (colours, textures, materials). The project then basically should focus on finishing and lighting. For the colour I can start with Viola (purple) and I can use triadic or tetrad scheme.
WHY FINE DINING ? Area Sai Ying Pun has predominantly casual dining italian La Viola is already a to-go place Authentic Italian experience awakening all senses.

While maintaining the character of the local BYDAY (with breakfasts, lunches, snacks, pastries) this café has flanked the character of “Bynight” with aperitifs from precena and after dinner accompanied by an adequate service at the bar (onenight live sessions and dJ club). The weekly program is made of tastings, live, karaoke, piano bar, cocktails and parties. The weekly program is made of tastings, live, karaoke, piano bar, cocktails and parties
