About LaBella
At LaBella Associates, our job is to create—structures, plans, ideas, results. As a nationally recognized Design Professional Corporation, that’s a given, right? But here’s what really drives us: creating partnership between our team and our clients. So much so that we become one team, unified in the unrelenting pursuit of exceptional performance on each and every project. Reliability. Accountability. Collaboration. Respect. Not skills we went to school for, but innate in LaBella team members.
The pursuit of partnership is embedded in our culture—has been since our inception in 1978. And it affects client outcomes in profound ways. It means we’re built to expertly execute projects from start to finish. That we have the talent and resources to take on any challenge. That projects are completed on time, on budget, and beyond expectations. And that we win awards—not just for our talent, but also for our ethics, employee culture, and growth.
Today, our wheelhouse is broad, with four key service offerings: Buildings, Energy, Infrastructure, and Environmental. Our reach is widespread with staff located throughout the country and Europe. We’re headquartered in Rochester, NY—but our impact is seen, felt, and experienced around the world.

Waste & recycling environmental services
Compliance with regulatory standards at every level is paramount to the success of each project as well as the safety, health, and general well-being of the communities being served. Naturally, we take all of this very seriously.
Our team of environmental scientists, geologists, and hydrogeologists provide a full spectrum of services that enable our clients to meet the most current regulatory standards. Through intensive field monitoring and lab testing, we determine whether there is a threat of contamination of surface water, groundwater, or air quality. If so, we characterize the contamination by identifying its nature and extent. Then, our engineering team develops a design solution to address and abate the problem.

Stormwater
Proper stormwater management is crucial for facility owners to maintain compliance. That, of course, means facilities must meet strict standards for not only where stormwater discharges but also the quality and quantity of stormwater discharge. In addition to designing stormwater management features, our team provides stormwater sampling and reporting services. As a cost-saving measure, we also train on-site personnel in sample collection procedures. If an exceedance of a discharge limit occurs, our experienced staff can recommend remedial measures to enable a speedy return to compliance.
pFAS
PFAS have become a growing concern. These compounds are considered “forever chemicals” and may be found in groundwater, landfills, and water resources. LaBella’s team of environmental, waste, and civil engineers have experience identifying and remediating PFAS contamination at landfills, Superfund sites, brownfields, and public water supplies.
