The Rockin' Rebel
Featured Designer Lynn Maiocco - Murderous Jewels Philadelphia, PA USA https://www.facebook.com/thejewelsgals https://www.etsy.com/shop/MurderousJewels https://www.instagram.com/murderousjewels/ With a penchant for the dark side, Ms. Lynn Maiocco of Murderous Jewels creates one-of-a-kind pieces that have fans around the country swooning like zombies on a hot day. Since Halloween is right up her spooky alley, who better to take over the cover than this Rockin' Rebel. Lynn's deliciously creepy accessories comes from a love of the macabre and takes music and the city of Philadelphia, but also a deep passion to show the world that everyone is beautiful in their own way. Whether it's her Steampunk line, the Wild Irish Rose line or zombies hanging from earring wires, her brand's message and mission are clear: Be who you are and do it beautifully.

 Murderous Bee Necklace
How did Murderous Jewels get started? I have been designing since I was a teenager. I only made pieces for myself and family/friends. I am a 45-year-old Mom who started Murderous Jewels at my kitchen table 19 months ago. It all started when someone stopped me in Philadelphia's Suburban Train Station. She wanted to know where I had gotten my fabulous necklace. I told her I made it and she offered me $50 for it. She said she had to have it. I remember coming home that night, I picked the pliers up and have not stopped. I remember my son and I sitting at the kitchen table. I asked him ...Do you think I could start selling my handmade jewelry? He said Mom, you can do this. Just give them your smile when you try and sell. How sweet. I am a naturally motivated person. I just love doing this so much it seems easy, like I was meant to do this. What's your favorite trend this season? My favorite trend is these huge pieces of crystal and big rope chains. They look so heavy and fabulous. How would you describe your style? My style varies. I make a couple different types of jewelry. Celtic - I make Celtic jewelry because I am Irish. I am strong-willed and determined. I make pieces that reflect the strong women that are my family and my friends. I call it Wild Irish Rose after my Mom. It is an Irish song and suits her well. Steampunk is just fun for me. I love the originality of it. I use recycled chandelier crystals in my pieces. Macabre is something I just love. I am a lover of all things Halloween and spooky. I make pieces for your own inner rockstar. I make pieces for women to feel beautiful about themselves. When you feel beautiful, you are dangerous to people.
